2 contemporary romance novellas. The 1st has protected sex, the 2nd does not.
You always know what you're getting with a LF story. The men are muscle bound & hunky. The women are small & need protection. Somehow this works for me.
Sawyer is the oldest in a family of 4 men. He has a 15 year old son from a previous marriage. He rescues Honey (who names their daughter Honey?) after a car crash injures her on his property. There's an 11 year age difference between them, & I don't know h...more

Again, I find short stories uninteresting -- especially romances. The characters normally jump in bed immediately or fall in love so fast you wonder where the 5 alarm fire is. Here, the storeis are built up, the characters get to know each other. Sadly, the endings resembled summations which is why I didn't give these two stories a five star rating. The first story is about Sawyer and Honey. The Hudsom brothers are true single men, and when Honey is taken into the Hudson home, all of them trip o...more
I read the Buckhorn brother's books years ago when they were first released. In fact they were some of the first ever romance novels I read and I still remember their bright red covers - they were released under the UK 'Sensual Romance' category.
When I saw that they had been re-released I thought I would give them a go...
But I don't remember them being so damn wholesome.

I liked these books. I say books because they were two books (brothers) in one. Even though these were originally published years ago and then republished in 2011 they are still as good as anything I've currently read. There were a couple words that gave me a good chuckle (preppies).
Let's go ahead and start with the cover because *wipes drool* that's exactly what caught my attention first.

Sawyer and Morgan are brothers with a complex and interesting family life. There are multiple reasons why they are so hot and so single with the Malone sisters bust into their lives. There is a lot of slow build-up to a long lasting relationship between Sawyer and Honey. - Who names their children 'honey'? She is supposed to be from a rich influential family (usually educated), but I have a hard time believing that they would name their first daughter with a nickname. -

This was actually two books. The first one, Sawyer, was pretty good and I give it four stars. The characters seemed well defined and believable, although they started to like each other a little fast. However, there was great conflict with her trying to get away and him trying to keep her and one bad guy trying to kill her. Fun stuff. I liked Sawyer and I liked Honey.
The second story, Morgan's story I give only 3 stars. The only conflict between them was Misty's insistence that she couldn't be w...more

I honestly can't think of anything I'd change about this book. Sawyer was very good. Loved how Honey broke down his barriers. AND..how Honey and Casey clicked.
Morgan's story was great. Loved the banter between him and Misty. They were a great pair.
I enjoyed how the stories felt complete and not lacking. Often times I find myself flsutered at the end of the stories (when there's more than one in a book) because they feel rushed or incomplete. She did a fabulous job telling the story without cutt...more

3.5 Morgan- I liked it so much better than Sawyer's story, but it still felt like it all came together and happened too quickly. I liked Misty a lot and Morgan is all fluff under all that gruff. I liked watching him crumble when it came to her and letting her under his skin. There was a bit more development in their story before it came to the happily ever after which was much appreciated.

Let me start with the yummylicious cover *wipes drool* because it definitely caught my attention. This audiobook includes two stories that were originally published individually. The first and second book in the series focus on the brothers Sawyer and Morgan. There is a second audiobook Buckhorn Forever that ends the series and includes the story of the other two brothers.

I like being able to get books from an author’s backlist. I came late to Lori Foster and hadn’t had a chance to read the Buckhorn Brothers books. Now that I have I am looking forward to the next installments for Jordan, Gabe and Casey.
This book contains the stories of the two oldest brothers Sawyer (a doctor) and Morgan (the sheriff) and their future brides the Malone sisters Honey and Misty. Strong, moral men, damsels in distress add in Ms. Foster’s sense of humor and you have wonderful brain...more

Sawyer – 3 Stars
I think this book started off on the wrong foot with me. Mainly because this is Honey’s story and I wanted to punch Honey in the face, most of the time, repeatedly. The woman didn’t seem to have an ounce of common sense! She’s presumably running from someone that wants to kill her and ends up hiding out with a houseful of men after he has a car accident. Sawyer, being the doctor, is taking care of her. But for complete strangers, Honey ju...more

Reading the two books in this collection back-to-back was perhaps a bit much as there were many similarities between Sawyer's story and Mogan's story. But, as all the men are related I'm still tempted to jump right into the next ones and see how the other two brothers fall and eventually the son. There was great tension sprinkled with a titch of suspense and the steamy scenes had plenty of sizzle. I will definitely be reading the other three titles in this series!
As always Lori Foster has a great series, read this one a few times. Sawyer my favorite ( sexy as hell doctor) but Morgan although tough as nails ( or thinks he is) is lovable too. Love the closeness of family with all brothers and of course Sawyers son Casey! Who wouldn't love a house full of men (haha). Both Sawyer and Morgan love being single but know with their hometown reputations their not aloud to cut loose but when Honey breaks down their fence and Sawyers defenses he can't help but fall...more
Two really delightful love stories. This book tells the tales of the two older Hudson brothers-Sawyer, the town doctor, and Morgan, the town Sheriff. In two separate books, they fall in love with two sisters, Honey and Misty Malone, respectively. Both sisters have their own emotional issues which they had to work through.
Easy read with very satisfying HEA's. Look forward to reading the stories for the rest of the family men. As usual, Lori Foster delivers.

I picked up Sawyer and Morgan this weekend...heart still beating madly for Morgan. Gosh, I just love a big man!
All the guys are wonderful...Honey was a bit of a stretch for me at first. I found her lack of gratefulness annoying, but when she was concerned for Casey about the sunburn...ya, she won me over there.
Misty, aka Malone, was funny and silly...her complete lack of male awareness had me laughing and Morgan fuming. Morgan will make such a great dad...his compassion, love, and total devotio...more

I had only read Lori Fosters newer books, but I ran across this the other day in the store and decided to take a stab at it. I really liked Sawyer, especially his relationship with his son. I think the way all the brothers interact is also pretty fun. I really liked the first story in this book and was looking forward to reading about the other brothers. At the beginning of the second story I had a hard time getting into it because for some reason I just couldn't seem to like Morgan much. As the...more
I really fell in love with this book - both the Sawyer story and the Morgan story drew me in... I loved the irresistible chemistry between Sawyer and Honey, and there were so many funny moments I thought; not just between them, but the situations they ended up being in with all the brothers.
With Morgan and Misty, I loved his frustration over his feelings for her and the initial misunderstandings between them. And, of course, I loved how he restored her faith in men.
