Shelves: military
I found this book both readable and very informative and having visited the Spion Kop found it very easy to relate to the topography described. It does seem there is as much of the book devoted to the lead up to the battle than the battle itself, not necessarily a bad thing as it is all very interesting.

Absolutely brilliant read. Even if you have no interest in the Boer war I still recommend it to anyone with an interest for history.
