Misguided Angel: Blue Bloods Series, Book 5 (Blue Bloods #5)
Melissa de la Cruz's New York Times best-selling Blue Bloods series never fails to thrill fans. Misguided Angel is the eagerly anticipated fifth book in the series, following The Van Alen Legacy. After the death of her grandfather, half-blooded Schuyler fled to Europe with her human Conduit Oliver. But it was Jack, a Blue Bloods vampire, who ultimately won Schuyler's heart...more
I am not happy.
I will be the first to admit this series is/was mental garbage. However, it was mental garbage that I thoroughly enjoyed. You know what they say; one man’s trash is another person’s treasure. This series was one of my jewels in the literary trash heap. That is until the author chose to decimate what readability this series had so that she could milk her lone idea for all it’s worth.

----> so i have finally finished this book and there are no words to describe how disappointed i am.
the first five books were amazing!
however this book kind of ruined the series.
----> I guess you can say that I'm in between loving it and totally hating it.
To be honest it wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good at the same time...
the book needed something more to make it more interesting ....
Faster, Less Detailed Review: Misguided Angel is an intense fifth installment to the Blue Bloods Series, filled with new dilemmas; lots of suspicion; answer-seeking missions; significant legacies; dangerous, abrupt murders; seven demon-proofing gates of Hell; and...the Petruvian Order. Fans will love this severely action-packed fifth book and the blend of old and new characters coming forth, and will find that that Melissa De La Cruz did not disappoint.

I couldn’t really remember why the main characters were in Europe or why they needed to run away from their captors. Perhaps too much time had passed since I read the fourth book, or ...more
The fifth book of Melissa de La Cruz's Blue Bloods series, Misguided Angel, just released this week. I've been looking forward to this book since I read the first four earlier this year.. and loved them. This book, however, was a disappointment. It was a mediocre filler book.
Why so bad? Well, the narration no longer alternates as frequently as it once did. I found myself bored following the same characters for long stretches of the storytelling when it once jumped between them so frantically. In ...more
We start of with Schuyler and Jack, YAY! i wanted to see what happens after the previous book. What an awful cliffhanger. ANYWAY, that was dangerous, intresting, sweet, romantic? I can't explain it, but that was the amazing part of the book. I think this book lacked some plot and talked more about connections, friendships, ...more
All of these things still apply to this installment. The author's characters and writing are as masterful as always, but I found myself rather disappo ...more
Jack and Schuyler fled to Europe to fulfill Schuyler's mission. At the moment, they're on the run, as Jack chose Schuyler in an unprecedented affair. While they have their romance, they also have death threats looming over their heads. Mimi is angry - really angry.
Mimi's the interim leader of the Blue Bloods for the time being. She's downplaying her role during school, but she's responsible for their survival. When a homemade movie leaks, signaling ...more

a lot of things shocked me.. like for the first part (sky's Perspective) i didn't know that Sky is Jack's familiar!!!! OMG.. i know in the 4th book she gave jack some of her blood cause she is half human, half vamp. but i didn't know that they perfor ...more
Jack and Schuyler were so dang boring, they made me want to poke out my eyeballs. Mimi's storyline was slightly more interesting - I liked her interactions with Oliver. Deming Chen was the most interesting, although is book 5 really the time to introduce a new character? ...more
OVERALL RATING: 1 MISGUIDED STAR
The writing was better in this book since instead of per chapter the PoV was changed, here the author divided it into parts so it's easier to understand.
That was the only thing good about this book. One thing I liked about Melissa de la Cruz was her attention to details. But here in this book it turned out to be something I hated.

Why, why, why, WHY do I continue to read this series? There is almost nothing redeeming about these books and I end walking away with a headache because I'm one of those people that NEEDS to understand the plot. So why do I continue to pick up these books and flip through them like candy?
....Then again, I ask myself the same question when I've just eaten a whole bag of Cheetos. Because for the short-time/in-the-moment/not-gonna-think-about-it/beach-reads ...more
