Interesting protagonists and lots of hot scenes! The book nicely wraps up the Harts of Texas series by including all three siblings at the end.

Even though I liked the heroine, I found her back story and current situation (e.g., a homeless childhood, living out of her car, etc.) a little darker than I like when reading a Blaze. Not your typical Blaze Harlequin, this one has dark themes that are elevated by a smart heroine and borderline snarky humor.

Broke and homeless, Brooke Harte is summoned to the tiny town of Tin Cup, Texas, by her lawyer after the death of her father whom she never met. I liked it because it was different. Especially, how the hero is so quiet and withdrawn and the heroine has to do the persuing, and I disliked it for the same reason. Both characters have flaws and quirks that make them interesting and unique. However, if i was brooke i probably would have given up on jason. But, what she loves about him is that he see's the real Brooke Hart and likes/loves her anyway.

I don't know why I even tried this. I've yet to enjoy a book from the Blaze or Desire lines. Too much insta-sex for my liking.
