I recently got this at an LBS (a.k.a. Library Book Sale) because it was endorsed on the back by AJP Taylor. If you've taken anything from Dr.Peter Hoffenberg, you've heard of Taylor, and he says of this book: "it has stood the test of time. It has passed beyond either praise or blame; and its very detachment from the categories of the moment makes it more useful than ever for the serious student." He might be right.
