I couldn't wait to set my greedy eyes on the fifth book in the Chronicles Caleath. Rosalie Skinner doesn't run out of steam. Invaded: Darkest Day offers riveting new developments and takes Caleath's exile to a higher, no a deeper level. A planet's spirit comes out to play and what an asset Artura is for the novel. Loved to meet her, while the company of good old friends made for a suspenseful but fun journey through the book. Fun for the reader, not so much for Caleath. Tallowbrand certainly enj...more

Cover 6/10
The readers felt this cover was much better than the cover on Exciled: Autumn’s Peril. They felt it much better represented the genre: fantasy adventure, although not so much sci-fi. One of the male readers thought having blood on the sword might be even better, suggesting he’s putting his sword away after a battle. One reader wrote, ‘I like...more

This is a fast paced novel trapping the reader in a full-on experience of the power and intensity that dark magic has, especially on the immortal Caleath as he battles with forces of evil.

In his mission to rescue the Kentorian princess, Corrine, and to save the planet Allorn from invaders, Caleath is thrust back into the deadly game. Caleath becomes`Tag' in order to hide his identity. When exposed, he suffers great physical pain from his enemies, but his impossible struggle to contain the vengef...more

Recommends it for: fantasy lovers especially
Caleath's adventures continue in this fifth volume of the series. The story continues to be interesting and include great characters and plenty of unexpected twists and turns. The only thing repetitive about the series is how well it entertains the reader!

Although I have read all the earlier volumes so can't be certain, I think it would be possible for a reader to read and enjoy this late volume even without having read the earlier ones. Skinner does a great job of reminding the reader of earlie...more

Invaded: The Darkest Day is book FIVE in the Chronicles of Caleath the epic fantasy sci fi series.
Coming in January 2012, this is the long awaited sequel to the four books that make up Exiled.
Caleath can no longer evade his destiny. The fate of a planet and the future of a nation are in peril. Can one man, a sorceress and a lot of resolve make a difference?
Will the Deathbringer's past destroy the future of Allorn?

This new offering in Caleath's journey will not disappoint impatient fans.
The Darkest Day is as excellent as the four predecessors.
Tons of action and emotions. Heartbreaking scenes water your eyes and the many twists and turns force to continue reading. And here is magic ...
