I really loved this one. This time, the story is told by Robin "Puck" Goodfellow. I always loved Robin, he was always the bright side of the story... And everyone keeps ignoring him :(... And this time, we finally find out his real feelings towards Meghan, and it makes me sad that he never even had a chance.

Okay, so I flew through this. I definitely prefer Puck in third person, being written about through Meghan, but this was awesome. A bit predictable in some ways, but so many millions of types of awesome. I ADORE Puck, and am Team Puck for life. This novella hooked me from the first page. Puck isn't awesome. Puck is my favorite character in The Iron Fey series. So you could just imagine my delight when I first heard about this novella. Honestly, I could barely contain my happiness.

In this novella Prince "Ice-boy" Ash and Robin "Puck" Goodfellow embark on a new adventure. But first, they have to find a certain cat, Grimalkin. Unfortunately, the exiled Muse Queen comes to call in a favor from Prince Ash. She asks for them to sneak into the S...more

I have been a little too obsessed with this series and right after I had read The Iron Queen I was just itching to read something else but The Iron Knight hadn't come out yet! Oh gosh what is a girl to do, right? Well thankfully Kagawa wrote this, it's available for free here.
This time around the novella centers on Puck and Ash. Ash must pay back a favor and what you know Puck is the person to help him out. It was fun to see things from Puck's perspective. The style is much more light and funny...more

Hehe, Puck ;)
You little naughty boy! *evil grin*
I am so Team Puck and I didn't want this book to end! At-last I got some POV of Puck and I loved every single line of it. It was such a fun and cunning adventure and he stayed happy and mischievous all the time. Typical Puck =) And when he revealed Sir Torin as Ash, I was like, "NO way my Puck can do something like that!" And it was true! He didn't!^^
TEAM PUCK FTW! xD

Oh. My. Goodness. I am sooo excited! Now, normally, I am not one of those people that goes nuts over novellas, but after Iron Queen left me practically crying and totally shocked, I just HAVE to read this because for starters it's from Pucks point of view, and he's like my comedic hero, and two it's moving on in the story and not replaying past events so I can learn more about what's happened since Queen! :D Yesss!!
Edit: oohhh the synopsis is up! Looks sooo good! :D

I really enjoyed this, surprisingly, after experiencing the strange character change in Puck in The Iron Queen, it seems that he is the same mischievious yet lovable character that he is in
Summer's Crossing.
We get an insight into the mindset of Puck which was interesting considering how there is a narrator change and, to be honest, I liked Puck's alot more than Meghan's because her narration seems to be revolving always around the winter prince Ash. I didn't really like them as the main couple...more

So, I just read Julie Kagawa's novella that shows a peek of what the dynamic duo, Ash and Puck, shall face on the rode to being with Meghan. We all know that in the last book, The Iron Queen, Meghan Chase, our heroine, became the Queen of the Iron fey, leaving Ash, her love, and Puck, her best friend, behind. The book ends with Ash thinking of his plan to be with Meghan no matter what (aww.) and Puck saying he is tagging alone for the fun (typical Robin)! Well, being the nice person she is, Juli...more

One brilliant Goodfellow prank, coming right up.
Summer's Crossing is hilarious. Painfully hilarious. This make me want to be team puck. AGAIN. Well, I always side in the OBVIOUS end up love team but in Iron fey series I’m confused.
Ok here's the pattern:
The Iron King - team ash
The Iron Daughter - team puck
Winter's Passage - team ash
The Iron Queen - team ash
Summer's Crossing - team puck

Wickedly smart. Plot and scheme was really ingenious and unexpected. And Puck, woo, was hilarious. I love his sarcastic humor and wit, and the deep and serious attitude and the roiling emotions within him that he only keeps to himself.
The plot was not too complicated neither was it simple, adding to it the characters' charms(especially ice-boy..haha he was, in his own way, really funny), this is one good read that i must say has been really worth my time(or anyone else's for that matter)..hehe n...more

I'm just going to come out with it: I hate short stories. Why? Because of the first word in that phrase: short. I usually don't have a lot of patience, but when it comes to books, if I like them enough, I just want more and more. And I hate it if I only get a little sneak peek. Just that this novella is told form Puck's - Our favourite comic relief and prankster - perspective made me want to read it so badly!
Then after I read it, I was thinking that - holy cow, why didn't I crave it more than I did!
In this novella, Puck and Ash have to work together to complete a mission - I'm not gonna tell you what it is! But it's a brilliant one xD

I cleared my calendar so that I could devour Summer's Crossing the moment it was released!! This little e-novella was a fun little read that, as we were warned, would be told from Puck's perspective, and would involve a great deal of shenanigans brought to you by who else but Puck!
The following will be just a little spoilery...

I found myself sobbing every now and then while reading this.
I am a Team Ash girl but Puck is one fairy boy I dearly love and respect. And after this I respect him even more.
He is one cheeky fairy, prankster and all that, but I think a little of Meghan's humanity robbed off on him.
Having him as a narrator, even just for a little bit, was some treat.
And Ash! Boy oh boy! How long are you going to make me cry because of you?
Ironic how the ice-prince just warms our hearts. ^_^

FUNNY as hell and a bit sad, too.

Puck is probably my favorite character in this series and the relationship between him and Ash is one of my favorite things about these books. This novella is AWESOME. And it's written from Puck's POV, so you can be sure to laugh out loud.
Puck and Ash going on an adventure together? Perfect. And hilarious.
When Puck was thinking about Meghan, though, I just wanted to go to the stupid Nevernever and give him a hug.

"Because. He fell in love with my princess."

I was basically jumping up and down with joy when I found out that Julie Kagawa released an e-book novella Summer’s crossing which is probably not much of a surprise since most of the people who reads my reviews probably knows that I am a puck fan girl.

Dear Puck,
Why are you still stuck on Meghan? Can't you see that she'll never be the right one for you?
You have always been there for her - as her best friend, as her protector, as the one who never let her down. You're totally adorable, smart, witty, and you always make me laugh. And you're so loyal, even to those who have hurt you or blamed you for things that are not really your fault.

A short novella about Ash and Puck? Yeah, you read it right. Ash and Puck had a bit of a crazy adventure in the book. I love how they tease each other and Ash telling Puck that he's going to kill him someday. But of course, we all know that he never will get that chance LOL
So I read this way back a month? I'm just reviewing it now cos now's only the chance. School wants me to die of requirements and projects. Oh God, i wanna graduate soon. Anyway, this journey is just a little short.

You know, there is a reason I have held off on reading Summer's Crossing for so long. It's not because I can stand to wait, mind you. No, in fact it's actually probably closer to the opposite.
I find that I am throughly addicted to Kagawa's Iron Fey series and only by stalling on reading the next addition did I manage to keep my cravings at bay. Puck is telling the story this time! This is huge. HUGE. And, most importantly, he's adorable while doing it, I might add. Oh, Puck. I've always favored His Royal Icy-ness over you, but now I can't think of why. You are just too funny and cute.
Anyway, needless to say, getting inside of Puck's head and seeing things from his POV is like eating the fluffiest, most sugary-sweet cake on your birthday while you're buried in oodles of expensive gifts given to you by all your favorite people in the wor...more

Dammit! Now I’m more anxious to read Iron Knight more than ever! I thought having a taste of what’s coming would help me hold myself up until the 4th installment of the Iron Fey series becomes available but I was wrong. Anyways, let’s get back to Summer’s Crossing. Let me confirm my certain addiction over the Iron Fey; I waited until Julie Kagawa posted on her blog that the ebook was then available. That meant log...more

This is a fun read, not to mention enlightening since this is Puck’s POV. The dilemma he’s having – by not helping Ash, Puck increases his chances of being with Meghan, but Ash is his one-time-friend, too - i feel for Puck. i really do.
