Maybe it was me. Maybe it was my mood. Maybe I was thinking of another book while reading this one. Whatever it was, this just didn't do it for me. When I read erotica, I want to be caught up in the moment thinking, 'Holy shit that's hot!' I don't want to be thinking, 'What an idiot.' or 'what about (fill in the blank)' or even, 'I don't think that is physically possible.' Unfortunately in this offering from Opal Carew there were very few 'that's hot' moments and far too many of the last three t ...more
I love this author and her treasure trove of lusty fantasies. In this story we meet a divorcee who, of her own free will, has been celibate for one year following her separation from her ex-husband. In the mean time she has developed a number of new relationships, one of them being a handsome hunk of charm and sensuality (but we'll have to get back to him later because of course he loves her and doesn't want to stunt her sexual growth).

In hopes of jump starting her new love life, Sandra’s best
This book was cute and the sex scenes were incredible. This book is about a woman trying to find herself and in the process finds love. Sandra has been hurt by love and she thinks that she doesn't desrve it. She is scared of it and she is scared of her own sexuality. Aimee her friend tries to help her with this by making her write down her sexaul fantasies. Sandra's other friend Devlin finds the list of fantasies later and tries to help her fulfil them, with Aimee's help and the help of two othe ...more

The book is based upon a list of wildest fantasies. The book carries the thread of completing this list throughout. If you like explicit sex, this is for you. Overall I liked the book and would recommend it for some steamy sex scenarios. The experimental sex in the first half to two-thirds of the book flowed more naturally than the later parts. The relationship between Devlin and Sandra (mentioned on the back cover) didn't make sense to me as it seemed more contrived than not. Scenes depicting # ...more

Isn't this the same cover as Shayla Black's "Delicious"?

More like 2.5 - it just felt too cold/clinical - no emotional attachment

I picked this one off the shelf in an effort to find a new author to recommend to the '50 shades' crowd. Am I ever glad I did! Much, much better writing, and in my opinion the sexy scenes were WAY hotter. But of course, that could by my bias - being alone on an island with two hunky fellas in the Canadian wilderness sounds heavenly to me :P
I would recommend this title to romance readers who like it spicy.

I'm not sure I liked this one.....the main female character Sandra going a yr without sex after her divorce then jumping into sex with strangers at a cottage while lusting after another guy & trying to seduce him into having sex with her. It was just a little too much. She was trying to seduce Devlin into sex, while he was playing her fantasy stranger lover during this experimental weekend with the other 2 guys was too much. It gets to be a foursome with her friend involved & then a five ...more

I love how when the person love and meant to be with will help you achieve your wildest fantasies .. Great book
In erotic romances, some plots are dumb. Tick mark
And sometimes they even get worse and worse til the end of the book. Tick mark
The characters change from one day to the next. Tick mark
They do not have any kind of depth, as the only thing they can think of from the beginning of the book onwards is sex. Tick mark
At least in this case, we were spared the usual obnoxious former husband or boy-friend in quest of revenge...
A boatload of sex scenes not that hot, unrealistic for a large part.
With the help of her friend, Sandra learns to explore her sexual fantasies, which is a standard plot for an erotic story. And so the sex goes on for almost the entire book. There's not much of a romance here, even though the hero tries to win Sandra's heart even while encouraging her to explore her sexuality. Lots of menage--a favorite of mine--but the f/f play surprised me. I'm more familiar with m/m play, which was sorely missing here. And I missed the romance, too. 3.5 stars.

Very sexy. Sandra and her friend Aimee write a list of 'wildest fantasies'. Aimee takes Sandra to her cabin on a private island. They meet 2 sexy men, that help make Sandra's fantasies come true. She also has Devlin, her friend at home, whom she likes, but after her divorce she is not feeling so sexy, so Aimee, Devlin, James, and Craig help her release her inner bad-girl. Great read, Sandra is quite introverted at the beginning of the book, but by the end she is very extroverted.
Not so much. No real story to it if you ask me. Just a bunch of people getting together for sex. The writing wasn't good at all either. A lot of it read very awkwardly. This was one of her older stories, so maybe this was her at a newer point in her writing career. I like to read stories with substance, not just a bunch of people getting together over and over again.
First book by this author and probably last. I couldn't get into the relationship between her and Devlin. There just was too much sex without the connection between the characters other than the sex. Sure that is good sometimes but this would have been better as anthology or shorter novel. Left me feeling cold.

I loved the premise of this book. The idea of exploring your sexuality and being good with who you are and what you like before you get into a relationship. I read 3 books this weekend and this one was definitely at the top of my list!

I need a little hide-a-way like Aimee has! LOL!

This is one of my favorite books so far from Opal Carew.

Sandra learns to let loose, to go for what she wants and not to hold back. She lets all inhibitions down and goes with the flow. With the help of her friend Aimee, she learns to doo that.
This is a total fantasy book. If you are looking for reality, not gonna happen here. The sex is varied and hot and there is lots of it. Keep my interest to see if Sandra would fulfill all her fantasies written on the cocktail napkin. Fast, quick read.

Well, it started off pretty good and it didn't make me hate Sandra or Devlin(a little...maybe)

Worked out really good I must say, even while just full of sex, you did get a decent story build between Devlin and Sandra.
If you are reading Carew's books, this is no spoiler. But, this one is simply porn without plot. If that's what you want, read away. However, this one left me wanting for more substance.

This was an okay read, but I didn’t feel like I connected with the main characters. The story was more about completing the fantasy list than developing any real relationship between the h/h.
In the past I loved Opal Carew's books but this one was my least favorite. Even though it got better the more I read, I found it hard to get into at the beginning.

This is one of the better Opal Carew books I've read. I liked the journey the heroine takes and how her friends help her on it.
Rating: 3.5 stars.

Review to go up.

Question! Wouldn't bondage insist the role of love slave?
Obsessed with book smex
Not one of my favorite authors, but I took a chance based on the blurb. I just didn't care for it.
Lots of M/F/M/F and M/F/M/F/M
Super hot
Girl and girl action too
Three, three and a half stars if read as pure smut...
moderately entertaining. Didn't love the characters
Easy read. Island get away. Menagerie
