If I didn't just read book 1, this book might have done better in my eyes. But having just read book 1, this book reads almost exactly like its predecessor, just with different characters. The plot is similar, they started the book with a "journey", where Reeve and Tara traveled the unfriendly terrain alone on foot and often ended up sleeping in each other's arms. They became attracted to each other and were often amazed at how well "they fit together". Reeve was taking Tara to his clan so that ...more

Her wealthy father sends her and a bride price unescorted to wed King Kenneth. While on her journey she gets in trouble with three crooks that want her bride price and are afraid to touch her or they might die. It is at this time that Reeve, a Highlander watches from behind a tree and decides to save her. He decides to take her home to the family ke ...more
Okay book, I'm liking this series only because I am dying to know which of the four is the True King but I swear I wanted to slap Tara through most of the book, if this girl cried one more time about her fake curse I was going to throw my kindle across the room in frustration. But Reeve was awesome. I enjoyed the first book far more, the adventures were more exciting and the female character was quiet the gutsy little woman where as Tara just irritated me beyond reason. This series is not as ste ...more

I love revisiting characters from previous books I have loved and meeting new ones in the process. Donna Fletcher does not disappoint in the second book in this series. A totally different hero and heroine in this book, but I was captivated just as much as in the first one.

Reeve and Tara.
I liked this book, I did! There were just a few things I hated!
When they met, she'd been travelling for a while with some male "protectors", and have just been ambushed, by some bad guys. Along comes Reeve to save the day (yawn, who didn't see that one coming). Tara's is wearing a red velvet dress, (the one on the cover) AND NOTHING ELSE! I never hear mention of petticoats, stays, corset, stockings, just the dress! In the middle of winter! It's snowing! But, hey I can let that sli

Too much repetition of inner thoughts and feelings of two main characters, which seldom varied. Skimmed a large portion. Won't read others in the series.

Not as good as the first one, I don't think. The characters and dialogue are still amazing though.
Fun series, which I actually do recommend~

She writes a very good story. It's fun trying to figure out which of the men will ultimately be the unknown king. I can't wait for the next installment in the series.

Loved this series. Donna Fletcher never disappoints.

I loved the first book in this series Bound to a Warrior, but I was really disappointed with Reeve's story. I really didn't like Tara because of how sassy and uncooperative she was. Mercy from Bound to a Warrior was refreshingly level-headed and reasonable while Tara was just a hot mess.

One of my issues with Loved By a Warrior was Fletcher's choice in words throughout the novel. Like the first novel, Fletcher didn't match up the way the characters spoke with the era she set the novel in. It didn

While I enjoyed it, it took me more time to finish this one than the first. The story is good and the characters really great, but it didn't caught me in the same way as 'Bound to a Warrior', one of the reasons being that there are many basic similarities to the first story and that the "curse" situation dragged for a little bit too long.

I loved Reeve, though and have added him to my book-boyfriends shelve. He's sexy as hell and a very playful man. He's always grinning and teasing those around

Ok... I read this in about 10 hrs, picking it up, putting it down etc. AND a WHOLE LOT of skippin'!!

Tara is a cursed "death Bride". She was honestly cursed so everyone she married or loved died. 2. Just 2. So it had me believing it right away. Especially since this dude Reeve wanted to seperate her from her shift all the time. All they did was kiss and talk about the Dumb A** curse for 85% of the book & then BAM! Her dad shows up and he's 'important' & she had been hunted by the kings me

Number two in the Warrior King series. I love these characters! Tara was cursed by a woman back when she was young and she believes in the curse even though her hero doesn't. That's because her previous two relationships ended with death. Reeve is so lovable as he is consistently optimistic. I love how his mantra is "I'm always right." And you know what? He is. There is development of the background story of the true king of Scotland and fill in information about Bryce and Trey plus and update o ...more

Can't say I liked this much -- I did not read the first one, so can't compare. Tara and Reeve both acted like sex starved teenagers without much sense. I was glad when they reached his clan so that someone there might act like an adult. I heard WAY too much about curses, prophets, healers, and other silly things -- but everyone in that era seemed comfortable with them. I thought ---too late -- that I should have counted the times they had sex, but what difference would it make? I hope the first ...more

I wanted to like it, really I did. But it was slow. Reeve and Tara were irritating. There was not enough development of the multi-book story arc for my taste, and the main love story was almost not there. I wanted something *more*.

In the end, there's an interesting premise (the curse), it fits into the series, and Fletcher writes well.

Well I gotta say that I enjoyed the book immensely! I had to skip over some parts, but all in all it was a great read for me :) I even finished it in record time (at least it is for me) and that's saying something cause I thought I'd be dragging it like other books :D but I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to read the next one!

I just love this series!! I am dying to know who the true king is! Loved the storyline between Reeve and Tara. Her fear of hurting Reeve and his complete conviction that no harm will come to him was very enjoyable! Can't wait to read the third book and see what happens with the next brother!!!

The redundancy really started to get annoying - between the curse and the true king - it was overmuch. Some high points though were the return of Stone and the reappearance of Bliss. As much as I like the brothers - this will not be on my read again list.

Much better than the first one. I fell into this story immediately and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I love the "one of the four friends is the king and no one knows which one" plot. Very suspenseful all around.
