“Melody Thomas is an author to watch! [She] kept me glued to the pages!”
Melody Thomas brings breathtaking new life to a classic fairy tale in This Perfect Kiss. A poignant, passion-filled Cinderella story unfolding in the Highlands of Scotland, Thomas’s Kiss tells the heart-soaring tale of a haunted “Prince Charming” reunited with the mysterious woman who en...more

This novel starts off with a scene straight from Cinderella: young and rather poor Christel having borrowed (*cough* filched *cough*) her cousin’s golden sparkling ball gown sneaked into the summer masquerade party held by the family of the seventh earl of Carrick. Christel has been having a longtime crush on Camden, the eldest son, who is a young twenty-something dashing dark hero out of t ...more

I enjoyed Christel and Camden but I found when it branched out to include members of their family like his brother Leighton and her half-sister Tianna, the story started to drag. Not to mention that the entire episodes featuring Sir Jacob were quite disjointed in the grand scheme of things. It felt like a hodge-podge of episodes instea ...more
This was a first read by this author, which I really enjoyed. It had an interesting plot, intrique, amazing characters, and of course romance!
I liked the brave and gutsy Christel, she has survived a lot and is still able to live, not perfectly as she is flawed but she tries and wants the truth even if it hurts.
Camden is her flawed prince charming that married another and suffered pain and heartbreak also. He is more afraid to open his heart than Christel but love will find a way. He ...more
