The 'Land of the Long White Cloud' stirs the imagination. This isolated country, with a smaller population than some European capitals, has stunningly diverse scenery, from mile-high mountains to fiords and fern forests. Take off and discover the wild and remote beaches, volcanoes and some pretty weird wildlife, while taking your time to try out all the outdoors activities

I'm not really a guide book type of person, but these footprint books are really great. They give you more of an insider opinion on things, and help you keep off the tourist track a bit when exploring a new place.
