I really enjoyed this book. It was a little juvenile at times because it was written for a preteen, not someone my age but once I started reading it, it was so hard to put down! I liked how it touches base on some of girls biggest problems of middle school. Eight grade is a really hard time for girls and everyone wants to be that popular "it" girl and there is always a group of intimidating girls that you hate but secretly want to be a part of. Everyone is competing with everyone else to have th...more

Is going to the party of a lifetime real worth it? What if your whole world fell apart because of it? Would you still go? Stacy and Lydia learn throughout the book “We Are So Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah” learn about the meaning of true friendship and what doing the right thing really is. Throughout the book Stacy and Lydia have to go through problem after problem to get into a party that they were not even invited to. In the end Stacy and Lydia change their school and the way people think and act...more

This was an amazing book, there is some things about a Jewish religion but is about a group of girls going into eighth grade. The girls go threw a tone of drama with their best friends and the popular girls. This book is centered around the party of a life time and they are not invited, deciding to crash the party everything goes wrong. This story reaches an amazing climax and continues on to solve the problem with everyone ending up happy. Stacy getting her friends back, new friends, and a boy...more

This book is about two girls, Stacy and Lydia, who have spent the whole summer at summer camp getting ready for 8th grade- they even had a high-schooler help them out! They are ready to come back to school more prettier and popular than ever. They go to a party the night before school only to figure out that their best friend, Kelly, has been hanging out with 'The Chicas'- a group of snobby popular girls- all summer long.
Then, a boy(who's very rich and popular) declared that he was throwing hi...more

Mike and I were listening to 70s music in the car this weekend and it brought back memories of awkard middle school dances. Of course the dances I went to were not anything like Eben's bar mitzvah!!! Had they been I'm sure I would have wanted to go more than anything. That said, Stacy and Lydia crashing Eban's bar mitzvah in the manner they did seemed a little far-fetched. I'm not sure 12 and 13 year old girls could pull that prank off...but then again...

Overall a cute story about being yourself...more

I thought this book was pretty annoying. When I read the first one I complained about the main character's lack of maturity, and this is just more of the same. The main character tells ridiculous lies throughout the book which constantly get her into trouble, and the way they all talk grates on my nerves. The characters are 8th graders, but I think this book is suited more towards around 6th grade readers.

This book was so accurate of how over the top bar and bat mitzvahs can be, and how bratty kids in 8th and 9th grade can be. The author Fiona Rosenbloom, really gave a look of how girls and boys can be so clique-y at this age. I hope she makes a third in the series.

Eh, it was kind of a typical book, not very memorable. (wow. I sound like Simon Cowell...anyways...) I actually only remembered that I read it because I found an old receipt from the library.

This is an amazing story of two girls who want to fit in with her friend and the "popular group" the Chicas only to find out that there bossy and rude and that you have to stay true to you. BE WHO YOU R GIRLS!!

Kid book. Good in some parts. Some humor. It's definitely for kids though. Maybe some elementary schoolers will enjoy it.

We Are SO Crashing Your Bar Mitzvah! (Paperback)
Hi. I’m Fiona and I’ve written two books that should be displayed up and to your right. No, your other right. There you go. They’re books for Young Adults and I enjoyed writing them both and wonder if I’ll ever return to Stacy Adelaide Friedman, Lydia Katz, and Kelly Mooreland.
