Walt Whitman Rostow (sometimes published as W.W. Rostow) was a United States economist and political theorist who served as Deputy National Security Advisor under President John F. Kennedy, and National Security Advisor under President Lyndon B. Johnson (the same position later held by Henry Kissinger under President Nixon).
