This is my favorite book in the series so far!
Probably has something to do with the fact that I'd love to travel to Paris someday.
I got completely caught up in Angela describing how beautiful Paris is, and it has made me want to go there even more.
What I liked:
- The progression of Angela and Alex's romance. They are obviously crazy over one another.
- PARIS!!
- Alex can speak French. Incredibly sexy!
- The drama of ex girlfriends being drawn into the mix made for an interesting plot.

I saw this book when I was looking in the library new books section and the cover shouted out to me even though it was an author I had not heard of before. The front cover looks like your typical fun, chick-lit style read.

The problem was it was not until I got home and started to read that I found out that this book was the third in the series after I Heart New York and I heart Hollywood.

I was unsure if to carry on reading as I was worried I wouldn't be able to fall into the story having not read the previous books. The trouble was I didn't have another book so I carried on.

The book is about Angela Clarke who writes her own blog. At the beginning of this book her boyfriend, Alex, suggests a trip to Paris which fits in nicely with a new job opportunity for Angela to write a piece for Belle magazine on Paris and also for Alex to play at a festival.

Trouble starts with the moment Angela gets on the plane and the disasters keep coming. When arriving in Paris Angela finds that her luggage has been blown up so she only has the items which she is standing in. If this was not bad enough when she walks into the cafe to meet Alex she sees a blonde bombshell sitting on his lap! Angela finds herself very isolated and a little home sick in this book when she finds out some truths about Alex's past, and finds herself at a point where her job, relationship, and friendships are all on the line.

What was meant to be a nice romantic break to Paris was actually the break from hell. You find when you are reading this book you keep thinking surely things cannot get any worse for Angela but something else always seems to happen.

As I said I didnt read the previous books but I have to say I still flowed along nicely with the story. There were a few references which kept coming up to do with a past relationship and a previous trip to LA which obviously I could not relate to. I would advise you to read the previous two books first!

I was surprised how much I warmed to Angela as a character as I would have thought with there being three books her personality would have to grow on you but I did not find that this was the case. You generally felt for Angela on many occasions .
There was a surprising twist towards the end of the book which I really did not see coming but had me on the edge of my seat! I do love a book with twists and not being able to predict what is going to happen in the next chapter. I do find many chick-lit books become repetitive but this book was defiantly not following in those footsteps.

I enjoyed this book so much I am now going to try and get the other two books to read. I can only hope that they are as good, if not better than this book.
This book is a light chick- lit read and would be an ideal holiday book. I still think that there could be another book released after this one as things were not tied up at the end of the book her life is still left hanging in the air.

Surprisingly, I thought this was actually pretty good. I barely ever find chick-lit very involving but I actually really enjoyed this one. I've learned it's part of a series and this is the third one. However, you don't really need to read the previous two to follow the story.

So I couldn't wait to start reading this book in the series, as it is set in one of my absolute favourite cities: Paris, so obviously one of the things I really loved about it was all the fabulous descriptions of the city. I am absolutely loving the "I Heart" series! Delightful chick-lit with just the right amount of storytelling seeped with talk of designer clothing and accessories.

This was in the same spirit as the other books. And again- I really like the descriptions of the cities she´s in. It was a good plot and I am looking foward to be reading the next one :)

If you didn't like Twilight's Bella, then you'll hate the main character in this book, Angela.

I picked it up while waiting at Paris' Airport, the only English chicklit book in their selection. I regret it.

Never before I had wished the main character would be better off rotten and failed. I didn't think she had any redeeming quality... unless a love of designer stuff and total clumsiness/ignorance are passable as redeeming.

When i found out this book was one in a series of "I heart..." books, i instantly thought it was going to be really cheesy, annoying and badly written.

And to many people, it may be cheesy, annoying and badly written, but i actually really liked it, the main character was easy to follow and to identify with and although this wasn't the first of the I heart... series it didn't matter, it didn't reffer to things that i'd need to have read the others for first.

I really like this series. But there's one problem I have with it which so happens to be the main character. She's just so easily swain, it's so frustrating! I loved the story but some characters such as Alex's ex girlfriend (whose name I won't try to spell). I wanted her to just leave, like Lou. I'm not surprised Angela left London with a best friend and mum like that. Lou was putting all these thoughts into her head that weren't even true. There were a few new characters in the book, but not as many as last time. In this installment of the I Heart series, Angela is going to Paris with Alex as he's doing a festival there. She then tells Mary about her trip and then the next thing she knows she has to write a piece of Belle magazine, even though she's never even read it. Her trip to Paris had an explosive start (literally) which was quite amusing. Once she had arrived she was instantly suspicious of this girl seen with Alex in a cafe and then things start to go wrong for her. Even though she did overreact and I wish she would stop running off to other countries when things go wrong for her.

I really liked the Graham character, he was the level headed and rational friend that Angie should have listened to and always managed to get her out of trouble. Two other new characters that were only in it briefly were Angela's biggest fans. They made me laugh so much and I think they made Angela see sense. I did actually miss Jenny in this book and I loved it when she had a go at Angela about leaving to London. She would make such a great friend (just not when she's drunk).

There's a lot of twists and turns in this story. When you think everything is going fine suddenly loads of drama just hits you. Most, nearly all, of it was Angela's own fault. She needed this drama to happen because I felt that she needed a slap in the fact sometimes to realise what she was saying and doing.

If you liked the last book then you will really enjoy this. I'm not sure if I enjoyed this more than the last one as it was just as good... Although more of the characters annoyed me in this one, the plot was still strong. (less)

With best mate Jenny happily settled in LA, our protagonist is dividing her time between her apartment in Manhattan and her boyfriend Alex’s place in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When Alex’s rock group gets a gig to play at a festival in Paris which happens to coincide with his big 30, Angela is all psyched to drop everything for a week to attend and play the ever so adoring rock star girlfriend. However, her bosses at Spencer Me...more So once again we are reunited with our good friend Angela Clark. With best mate Jenny happily settled in LA, our protagonist is dividing her time between her apartment in Manhattan and her boyfriend Alex’s place in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When Alex’s rock group gets a gig to play at a festival in Paris which happens to coincide with his big 30, Angela is all psyched to drop everything for a week to attend and play the ever so adoring rock star girlfriend. However, her bosses at Spencer Media, the publishing group that owns the The Look which is the magazine she writes for have other ideas. They want her to pen an article which is sort of the hipster’s guide to Paris for Belle magazine which is basically a snooty publication on par with Vogue. The problem is that Belle magazine have other ideas; as far as they are concerned Angela is not Belle material and make that quite clear to her. However, luck is on Angela’s side – the MD of the company likes her so she keeps her gig and with it an expenses paid trip to Paris with Alex. She has it all planned out; the day will be spent checking out all the cool spots in Gay Paris and in the evenings she will be hand in hand with Alex strolling down the Champs de Elysee, along the River Seine and sipping wine at one of the many chic cafes. Alas as we have all come to realise, Angela’s life does not run smoothly like that.

For a start Alex’s stunning Parisian ex girlfriend turns up. Her group is also playing at the festival and it is clear that she is set on getting Alex back. Meanwhile Alex has gone all moody on Angela and after months hassling her to move in with him he drops a bombshell that he has no desire to get married and have kids. Needless to say Angela is mortified and this mini drama combined with losing all her possessions at the airport when her suitcase is blown up as well as a colleague trying to sabotage her career almost sends Angela over the edge. So the thought of jumping on the Eurostar to London to spend time with her childhood friend, Louisa and her family sounds so tempting.

The I Heart books are always a great read and the latest one about Paris is no exception. It shows how all relationships have their weak spots when insecurity sweeps in. We also get more of an idea of Angela’s life in London when Louisa turns up in Paris. Those of you who have been following Angela’s adventures since the first book will remember that it was Louisa’s wedding that Angela ruined after she discovered that her fiance had been doing the dirty with his tennis partner. Well Louisa is now happily married and expecting her first baby but still on hand to offer Angela a strong shoulder when things go belly up. I found I Heart Paris a bit darker than the other books; less emphasis on shopping and more about the complexity of relationships. You do get a great sense of Parisian culture but instead of doing the obvious and focusing on the high life of designer stores and boutiques, we are taken to the hip and cool side of Paris with funky cafes and eclectic shops. Once again Lindsey Kelk pulls it out of the bag. Which brings me to wonder what is next on the cards for I Heart Series. I know that Lindsey has been commissioned to write two more books but I wonder where they will be set? My guess is Sydney and London.(less)

I picked this up at random from the bookswap shelf at work. I'd read I heart New York a while ago but didn't realise this was a series, so I missed out on I heart Hollywood which comes in between these two installments. But you can read Paris on its own, no need to have read the others to be able to follow the storyline.

This book has made me want to take a trip to Europe and see Paris! I would love to see the little shops no one really knows about or try the clubs where up and coming bands play. It was fun watching her relationship with Alex go through these trials and tribulations like any relationship would when your ex is in the picture. I think that everyone can relate to this type of heart break at somepoint in their lives.
I found it exciting and fun to read and there was never a dull moment.

I was a disappointed when I read this. The first one was a great book. It was quirky, funny and well written. This was not. I thought it would be more like the cover. Enchanting, romantic and a really good read. Instead I got a book full of clumsiness, designer dresses and cliche plot lines. The main character was very obvious as was the story. You could tell what happened next and it wasn't very spontaneous or made me want to root for her. I'm sorry but this story wasn't a good read. At all.

Angela Clark is officially in love with Paris, the city of light!
She kindly accepts another job assignment to find the "in" spots in Paris, sent by Belle magazine.
But isn't it a little bit too sweet? Paris? Alex with her? Belle?
Then BAM! Alex's ex who is French and totally hot threatens everything. Solene is after Alex and Angie knows it.
Could she face the problem or run back to London? As it is only a 2-hour journey home by Eurostar...

Much better than I heart Hollywood. Still Angela spends an inordinate amount of time being drunk, feeling sorry for herself & jumping to conclusions. She really seems to have very little self-esteem. But I do have to say that she has a great sense of humour & once she sorts herself out she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She's also very loyal to her friends. Would still have liked to see more development in her character. She's very immature for her age.

So the first book, I heart New York, was quirky and funny. The second one, I heart Hollywood, was a really weak story with funny parts. This one was, for want of a better word, crap.
