This is my favorite book in the series so far!
Probably has something to do with the fact that I'd love to travel to Paris someday.
I got completely caught up in Angela describing how beautiful Paris is, and it has made me want to go there even more.
What I liked:
- The progression of Angela and Alex's romance. They are obviously crazy over one another.
- PARIS!!
- Alex can speak French. Incredibly sexy!
- The drama of ex girlfriends being drawn into the mix made for an interesting plot.
- Introd...more

The third novel in Kelk's 'I Heart' series, I Heart Paris continues Angela's adventures and it is just as funny and endearing as the first two novels in the series. I laughed out loud often and wanted, as always, for Angela to figure everything out.

Angela's misfortunes are always hilarious and with someone out to sabotage her, an air of mystery surrounds this novel. The confusion Angela feels in Paris with both her work situation and her boyfriend, Alex, as w...more

What do you get when you combine a romantic trip to Paris with your boyfriend’s heart breaking ex? I Heart Paris by Lindsey Kelk is the answer. Another great summer read.

This time Angela is taking a trip with her lovely boyfriend to Paris as he has a gig with his band there. Unknown to Angela, her boyfriend’s evil ex is there. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Everything seems to go wrong for Angela on this trip. Her luggage doesn’t make it to Paris, she is supposed to be writing a piece for...more

I saw this book when I was looking in the library new books section and the cover shouted out to me even though it was an author I had not heard of before. The front cover looks like your typical fun, chick-lit style read.

The problem was it was not until I got home and started to read that I found out that this book was the third in the series after I Heart New York and I heart Hollywood.
I was unsure if to carry on reading as I was worried I wouldn't be able to fall into the story having not r...more

Surprisingly, I thought this was actually pretty good. I barely ever find chick-lit very involving but I actually really enjoyed this one. I've learned it's part of a series and this is the third one. However, you don't really need to read the previous two to follow the story.

It's about Angela Clark, a girl from London who lives in New York as a blogger/writer. Her boyfriend Alex invites her to go to Paris with him, as he is going to play in a music festival with his band. The rest of the story...more

So I couldn't wait to start reading this book in the series, as it is set in one of my absolute favourite cities: Paris, so obviously one of the things I really loved about it was all the fabulous descriptions of the city. I loved reading about the different shops, the food, and most importantly, the sights. The book has really made me want to go back to Paris.
This is the third book in the series, and by now we know Angela and her friends quite well. Summer is finally here again and Angela has...more

I am absolutely loving the "I Heart" series! Delightful chick-lit with just the right amount of storytelling seeped with talk of designer clothing and accessories.

Main character Angela Clark is very likeable; down to earth, relatable in her all clumsiness, and with never a dull moment in her life it is exciting to see in what bizarre situation she finds herself next. Paris is no exception and while there are less romantic dinners near the Eiffel Tower and more bitch fights in dark cafes, the re...more

This was in the same spirit as the other books. And again- I really like the descriptions of the cities she´s in. It was a good plot and I am looking foward to be reading the next one :)

BUT I have to point out that I am getting bothered that in the three books that I´ve read in this series, Alex (her boyfriend) has not been especially present. It feels like the only time he is actually in the book is if they are having sex. I feel he is most of the time just being "talked about" by Angela. In al...more

Angela goes with her boyfriend Alex to Paris because his band will be playing at a festival. She does also have to write an article for Belle magazine.

Lots of stuff happens and obviously some Angela adventures :D !!

This is book #3 of the I heart series and I really liked book #1 and #2 better! This book has had very good moments and I clearly love Angela, Alex and Jenny a little bit more, but there's also been some depressive moments that have maybe lasted too long. The other two books had more...more

If you didn't like Twilight's Bella, then you'll hate the main character in this book, Angela.

I picked it up while waiting at Paris' Airport, the only English chicklit book in their selection. I regret it.

Never before I had wished the main character would be better off rotten and failed. I didn't think she had any redeeming quality... unless a love of designer stuff and total clumsiness/ignorance are passable as redeeming.

This book was advertised as "If you like Sex and the City..." so maybe, ju...more

Book Review: I Heart Paris @ ai-books

I heart Lindsey Kelk. The third book from I Heart Series is definitely not a disappointment. This book has left me giggling at some scene (because laughing in public would be inappropriate) and grinning like an idiot.

I love how Lindsey Kelk writes what’s been going through Angela’s mind. You could see that Angela was a fun and a bit crazy at times. That crazy part might be something in common that Angela and I shared. I think that Angela was lucky that she se...more

Angela is really annoying now. I couldn't even enjoy the parts about Paris the city (a city I love) because I was too distracted by how immature Angela is. I was glad to see Cici got what was coming to her. I'm so tired of Angela getting drunk all the time, I'm tired of people and usually strangers or people she hardly knows constantly bailing her out and helping her in ways that she doesn't deserve. I've already ordered the next book but I'm not sure if I'm going to read it or not, I may just h...more

This one totally mad me laugh. I like this one. I love how she depicts Paris impeccably making me want to go there. Alex's ex-gf was seriously getting on my nerve, I felt like punching her myself. I was waiting and waiting for Angela to just punch this putain, she didn't. She ended up just punching that French assistant of hers. And her Mom? Omg. No wonder Angela doesn't want to go back. Just chill woman! The only person I truly think that is genuine in the book was that naive French guy in the...more

When i found out this book was one in a series of "I heart..." books, i instantly thought it was going to be really cheesy, annoying and badly written.

And to many people, it may be cheesy, annoying and badly written, but i actually really liked it, the main character was easy to follow and to identify with and although this wasn't the first of the I heart... series it didn't matter, it didn't reffer to things that i'd need to have read the others for first.

I really liked this indulgent chick-lit...more

I really like this series. But there's one problem I have with it which so happens to be the main character. She's just so easily swain, it's so frustrating! I loved the story but some characters such as Alex's ex girlfriend (whose name I won't try to spell). I wanted her to just leave, like Lou. I'm not surprised Angela left London with a best friend and mum like that. Lou was putting all these thoughts into her head that weren't even true. To be honest I think she just did that because in a wa...more

Vůbec není nad škodu si před rozečtením nějaké knížky zjistit, jestli to náhodou není série a jestli to není nějaké pokračování.

Ano, miluju ji. Kdyby dostala nabídku jet znovu do francouzského města lásky, neváhám ani minutu. Navštívit klasická, turistická místa (jo, klidně znovu f...more

With best mate Jenny happily settled in LA, our protagonist is dividing her time between her apartment in Manhattan and her boyfriend Alex’s place in trendy Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When Alex’s rock group gets a gig to play at a festival in Paris which happens to coincide with his big 30, Angela is all psyched to drop everything for a week to attend and play the ever so adoring rock star girlfriend. However, her bosses at Spencer Me...more

As soon as I finished I Heart Hollywood I just had to pick up I heart Paris. Alex proposes a very romantic trip to Paris where it also happens that his band are playing. But unknown to Angela Alex's ex is there...the one who turned him into a slutbag. Bob Spencer also proposes that Angela write a piece for Belle, a prestigious fashion magazine, on Paris and the best places to shop, drink and generally spend your vacation. After a very long plane journey Angela arrives in Paris only to discover t...more

Most of my friends know how huge a fan I am of Lindsey Kelk's I Heart Series. I can't gush about it enough.

I Heart Paris is the third book in the I Heart Series and continues the story from whereI Heart Hollywood ends. Angela and Alex are blissfully in love and Alex asks Angela to accompany him/his band to Paris so they can make it a romantic trip and at the same time, Angela gets an assignment from Belle to write an article on Paris fashion. Things seem to be going great..until Angela reaches...more

I picked this up at random from the bookswap shelf at work. I'd read I heart New York a while ago but didn't realise this was a series, so I missed out on I heart Hollywood which comes in between these two installments. But you can read Paris on its own, no need to have read the others to be able to follow the storyline.

I liked I heart New York and its descriptions of New York, and now Angela's story continues in Paris. She's writing a travel story for a fashion magazine so I was hoping for dwel...more

The first book in this series was great, the second was quite good, but this one totally sucked... To be honest I started this one a long time ago, so by now I can't remember much, but when our dearest Angela wanted to lick a French woman's face because French women *always* look *that* good, no matter how shitty they actually really look... Well, that was that for me...
I really love chick lit and my preference is the so called "trash literature" even though I am majoring in German and English...more

The third book in the I Heart series, I HEART PARIS follows on the story of Angela writing her blog for thelook.com and when her boyfriend Alex mentions he has been asked to play at a festival in Paris and wants her to go with him see thinks this would be a great trip and ends up turning into a work trip too. But when they get to Paris, Angela or Alex didn't know that his ex-girlfriend Solene would be there to make trouble...

I love this series, they are really light hearted and put you through t...more

This book has made me want to take a trip to Europe and see Paris! I would love to see the little shops no one really knows about or try the clubs where up and coming bands play. It was fun watching her relationship with Alex go through these trials and tribulations like any relationship would when your ex is in the picture. I think that everyone can relate to this type of heart break at somepoint in their lives.
I found it exciting and fun to read and there was never a dull moment.

I was a disappointed when I read this. The first one was a great book. It was quirky, funny and well written. This was not. I thought it would be more like the cover. Enchanting, romantic and a really good read. Instead I got a book full of clumsiness, designer dresses and cliche plot lines. The main character was very obvious as was the story. You could tell what happened next and it wasn't very spontaneous or made me want to root for her. I'm sorry but this story wasn't a good read. At all.

What first attracted me to this book is the cover. It's pretty and Paris is the most romantic and beautiful city in the world. But the story is not as romantic as the cover promises. It has the same elements of all chic lit stories, in my opinion. So it was just okay for me. And the other thing is that this is apparently the third book in the series, so I didn't really know the beginning, which makes it confusing sometimes and hard to get into the characters and their relationship. But it was ju...more

Angela Clark is officially in love with Paris, the city of light!
She kindly accepts another job assignment to find the "in" spots in Paris, sent by Belle magazine.
But isn't it a little bit too sweet? Paris? Alex with her? Belle?
Then BAM! Alex's ex who is French and totally hot threatens everything. Solene is after Alex and Angie knows it.
Could she face the problem or run back to London? As it is only a 2-hour journey home by Eurostar...

Much better than I heart Hollywood. Still Angela spends an inordinate amount of time being drunk, feeling sorry for herself & jumping to conclusions. She really seems to have very little self-esteem. But I do have to say that she has a great sense of humour & once she sorts herself out she isn't afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She's also very loyal to her friends. Would still have liked to see more development in her character. She's very immature for her age.
Rachel Hawes
So the first book, I heart New York, was quirky and funny. The second one, I heart Hollywood, was a really weak story with funny parts. This one was, for want of a better word, crap.

When I read a series of books about one character, I expect the character to develop, to learn from their mistakes, to go out and achieve something. Not just carry on having the same "hilarious" mishaps in different cities. And just as in life, if characters in books drank less they might feel well enough to do somet...more
