Alien is from a planet far, far away. Possum is from Earth.

Alien is many bright colors, like yellow and red and green.

Possum is one color -- gray.

Alien thinks high voltage is delicious.

Possum thinks trash is delicious.

Can these two ever be friends?

Without a doubt!

I read this book because I saw it was illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi and I love anything he draws. This book did not disappoint in that area, the pictures were sweet and animated. I loved seeing the interaction between these two friends. The story was simple, but I think children will find this book amusing. I'd probably recommend.

It is out of the ordinary to suspect an Alien and a Possum would ever be friends. One night when Possum watches Alien's spaceship land the two become friends almost instantly. This book provides a positive example of making friends, positive self esteem, and diversity.

Aww.... cute. And also aww...fully goofy. I would think these would be a big hit, but I only see two so far.
