A stroke of brilliance with the ending

Please bear in mind that this is the third and final book in the trilogy and therefore the review may contain spoilers for the previous books.

Scattering Like Light picks straight up where Perfectly Reflected leaves the story. The main focus being the power the amulet wields and how Alex is able to use it. Nice recaps are placed throughout the narrative to reinforce key elements of the plot. Although I would recommend that you read the entire series it isn't...more

Hooooollyyyy COW! This book, this series is so AMAZING! How come barely anyone has reviewed these or rated them, seriously they are soooooooo good!!

I don't have to much to write but this is absolutely great, the characters, the story line, confusing yet in the end it all unravels so well. S.C. Ransom is very talented.

Do you love interesting topics and romance mixed well you will love this book, I 1oo% recommend it!

This is the third and final book in the Small Blue Thing series and it didn't disappoint.

The book starts right after where the second book finished which is great as the reader will know everything that has just happened and will be able to follow along with the story straight away. I liked the introduction of the new character (Max) as it added another possibility for the plot and one of my favourite parts of S.C. Ransom's writing is her characters. It easy to tell that she puts a greta deal o...more

Scattering like light is the final book in the small blue thing trilogy and by far the best with regards to certain aspects. If you haven't read this trilogy, I highly recommend it. It is a sweet and lovely story about a girl who finds a bracelet in the Thames and finds herself able to communicate with a spirit - Dirge - who must steal the happy memories of strangers in order to stave of madness. Finally Alex thinks she may have a chanc...more
Okay. I took a long time deciding wether to put 3 or 4 stars as the rating. I put 4 to be nice bu my true rating is 3.7. Hehehe. Anyway, back to the book and what I think of it. I liked it. The first is better and i cant say much bout the second because i skipped it. Not entirely my fault but the library had books 1 and 3 but not 2 and I wanted to know so badly if they work out so yeah. Since I didnt read #2 i got confused at bits and had to catch up but since s.c. explained everything, i was go...more

So... This is a book that I didn't love but I didn't hate.

If someone were to ask me: Hello TheBookCrazyPurpleCheeta what did you think of Scattering like light?

My reaction would be: description

I've read the other two books. (Nah I actually haven't. I haven't read perfectly reflected but who cares? I know Lucas attacks Alex and Callum and Rob is a perv)

Scattering Like Light is the last book in the series. It follows Alex and Callum; who are trying to find out how to bring back Callum from the dead. The reas...more
great book, but overemphasized a point in the blurb. Very twisty turny. Wish that there was a second book but sadly the series is finished

I LOVE IT! But I feel sorry for Olivia.
It was, amazing. I picked up the story quickly Perfectly reflected, as i havent read it for quite a long time. I read it really quickly, and absorbed really into the story. It went up and down constantly. I'm just really glad in the end that Alex and Callum got to be together, both of them in the real world ^^
This book was absolutely fabulous. Honestly, after I read the first two books, I was just like "meh, i know what happens next, whatever." But that wasn't the case. It honestly surprised me. The ending was something I didn't expect, and I just sat there reading over the book as soon as I had finished. Perfection.

BRILLIANT!!! The best book of the summer so far. I love the suspense you have all the way through the book who Alex is going to choose to love and how she is going to bring all the Dirges back to life. I think the ending should be a bit longer... i want to know what happens between Alex and Callum. :P

Sue Ransom, the author of Small Blue Thing, Perfectly Reflected, and 2012 publication, Scattering Like Light, is a senior headhunter, but on the way to work and in the evenings she’s a writer: she wrote Small Blue Thing, her debut novel, as a birthday present for her daughter, and she composed it mostly on her BlackBerry.
