Ever Beleño is a collector of old Hollywood memorabilia. He's also a fan of dead people. Mummies are his special passion, just like flying saucers are his roommate Johnny's particular obsession. Ever's dark and gothic world might be lonely, but after a heart-breaking split with his ex, he wants it no other way...until he visits the sold-out Mummies of the World exhibit.

The Love God of Indian Frybread by A. J. Llewellyn

Yummy Sweets, Sexy Mummies and a Ouija boards! What more can a girl ask for in a book??? Well for this girl not a whole hell of a lot more. The Love God of Indian Frybread is to me a Classic AJ Llewellyn novel… It’s sweet, funny, sexy, and has food sex. AJ have this innate ability to sweep a person into his novels, teach them something random about Ancient History, food, Or Old Hollywood they might not have known before...

I found the story to be a bit of a mess, honestly. Ever and Jhonny were likable, but all the events that surround them just seem to be randomly thrown together. A lot of attention was brought up on Ever's life like ex Addison, his mother, randomly his father, his dog... but they never make an appearance in the novel and his issues with them (particularly his mother) are never resolved. Jhonny, on the other hand, although gets half the novel told in his pov really feels like a secondary character ...more

This book was a string of scattered thoughts. I loved the blurb and I expected more to be expanded on that. What I got was part Old Hollywood Tour Guide and part random silliness. And many unanswered questions. Dark and Gothic? Not this book.

Loved it! I was cracking up and I do not often laugh out loud when I'm reading.

The title is kind of cheesy, the synosis sort of remind me of a B grade horror movie but once I start reading, it is actually a fun read. Not the usual AJ's style but this feather weight sort of override my sceptical mind and make me a fan at the end of ride. Extra 1/2 star for the research given to those memorabilia

A.J’s passion for the islands led to writing a play about the last ruling monarch of Hawaii, Queen Lili’uokalani as well as a non-erotic novel about the overthrow of her kingdom written in dia
