I picked up my kindle to find a short read, so I could just have some reading fun without reviewing it, yeah right LOL. As I looked at my kindle this story popped up, I opened it and sighed thinking I wanted something different. I don't usually do e-books, but when I saw a vampire/werewolf book from Cynthia Eden, I jumped at it. It was only 99 cents, and better than a lot of the longer books at 10 times the price.

Again this is a great, if short, story in an exciting new world of vampires, shifters and demons.

Demons are attacking the members of paranormal community. Werewoles are managing to protect themselves, but vampires aren't faring that well. So, the alpha of the pack suggest a deal. Reading this was like sliding a knife through butter, quick painless and very easy! The author has taken less than 100 pages and crammed each one full of wonderful characters, quick and easy plot twists and best of all the hot steamy romance that she has made one of her trademarks... For me this novella was a nice interlude that read like a much longer story... 4.5 stars. A fan of Cynthia Eden's books both her PNR and romantic suspense stories. Bound by Blood is a novella about a vamp princess (Morgan) and an alpha were (Jace) and their mating and joining together with their clans to fight the demons intent on destroying all vamps and weres. Very hot read!!! The problem with novellas is they just make you wish the story had been a full length book.

Suddenly, I crave for paranormal romance especially werewolves. I'm going to review this book very briefly.
I really liked the idea of werewolf-vampire mix. I liked the instant attraction. It was very intense. Instead of being spineless, the heroine, Morgan, she's a vampire and she's one hell of kickass. Hence, I loved her. Alpha, possessive, and overprotective Jace is also cool to read and he's hot.

Oh, yeah. The forbidden love between a werewolf and a vampire. Gotta love that! All that pent up desire for something they're not supposed to have leads to some hot, hot sexin'. Thumbs up to that! Okay, so technically, this isn't so much forbidden love as a "we fight each other and don't have time for sweet, sweet lovin'" sort of thing. Bound by Blood is a spicy and exotic read that will leave you breathless. I was anticipating a fast read, but what I was not prepared for was the absolute awesomeness of this story. As a short story I was expecting an abrupt romance, but what I found was a carefully crafted story that twists and turns around the characters. I love cynthia Eden! This was only 70- some pages and still managed to be an awesome read...Because it is so short, it's obviously not going to be as drawn out as her longer books, but it's definitely one of the better novellas out there. And while everything happens at a rapid pace, Cynthia's such a good story teller that she makes everything work...and with CE's recent romantic suspense releases ( which if you haven't read yet, you should definitely go get 'em) 'Bound by Blood' does a good job...more

Cynthia Eden is new to me and I am now confident to put her other books on my ever growing tbr. Her writing was smooth, easy to read and quite addictive for such a small piece.
The passion between Jace and Morgan was HOT, yet believable (believable being that there was a good enough back story to understand the immediate attraction). I don't think its always easy for an author to get a smokin hot read with a deep storyline into something so short - so I give it...more

Bound by Blood is a paranormal romance and horror I suppose concerning the war between hell on earth and the vampiress trying to save the world by offering an alliance to one of their enemy, the werewolf. Its like that saying, the enemy of my enemy is my fried. So the alpha and the vampire leader mated/married to one another, exchange blood and get rid of the random hell gates. Of course its a supernatural romance so the two just happen to fall in love with one another.

Argh! Over too soon. I really enjoyed this novella. Just when you get into (which is at the beginning) it is over. What a great teaser. I could easily see this as a much longer book. C.E. must of had left over alpha wolf-itis in her writing arsenal (from Never Cry Wolf). I have to give this book 5 stars because I was totally engaged from the beginning. Con: TOO SHORT!! : >

A great short read!!! Love the mixture of paranormal creatures-werewolves, vamps & demons-Oh My!!! ;-) LOL!! Really enjoyed the protectiveness Jace had for Morgan!! This was pretty short but I liked the former enemies (leader of the vamps and were alpha) who hook up to save their races from a common enemy and discover that they can be more than just allies.
