Cayrolyn is a twenty-five-year-old woman who grew up in a children's home. She suffers from fibromyalgia and feelings of low self esteem. One evening, at the Nashville Rodeo Steak House, she meets TeJay, a forty-year-old lawyer and musician. The two strike up a friendship. This leads to an arrangement where Cayrolyn lives at TeJay's parents' house and becomes part of the family. At the end, TeJay and Cayrolyn marry, but only after going through some doubts and misgivings.
