This is the book that contains the pattern for "Blooming Nine Patch" - a quilt pattern that is VERY POPULAR across the USA. If you're looking for the instructions for the BNP, they're in this book! Blanche Young and her daughter, Dalene Young Stone, write excellent directions with an economic approach to fabric - there is no extra fabric in the supply list so get an extra quarter yard or so to anticipate your own cutting errors. If you have fabric left over, make binding and labels!
If you like to make quick quilts that look like you spent days this is your book. Almost all of the quilt tops can be made in a weekend. The major exception is the first one-Boston Commons. Young provides a instructions for smaller version of some of the patterns. I often use the Sunshine and Shadows pattern to make quick gifts. Lots of strip cutting and piecing, but quick.
Best quilt book ever!
