A very thorough analysis of the American family and the changes during the years that have shaped today's family. Although I don't always concur with the authors, the book was an eye-opener for me as I could understand a little better the transformation of the family since I raised my own.

So much has happened since they wrote this book, but it was still interesting to read about them as a family.
