But after a chance meeting with a handsome gay man who had helped Charlie change a flat tire on Interstate 80 a month ago, Charlie was beginning to wonder about h

Charlie Mosby is a cowboy; he manages a ranch and has been doing it for several years. He's friendly with the other employees and lives on the property. The owners treat him like a son. He enjoys taking tourists on nature tours on the property. He's always thought of himself as straight, until last year when he got a flat tire and a stranger stopped to help him change it...and then gave him the best head of his life. Now he can't stop thinking about that stranger.

While Charlie's out fixing a fen

What can I say about Roman and Charlie, well for one, they're truly gorgeous characters. Charlie was my favourite - a real sexy cowboy! GA Hauser has created a breath-taking environment, characters you can't help but love and a plot that evolves as it advances. There is a bit of mystery as Roman tries to find out the truth of what ails him. The sex is hot, the two leads even hotter. 'Of Wolves and Men' was an excellent read and I can't wait to start the second instalment, 'The Order of Wolves'!

Let me first say that this isn't my normal genre. This book does have M/M erotic content in it, so I wasn't too sure if I would like it or not. Having said that, I did enjoy the book. The premise of the curse was interesting and I liked that Roman could turn into both a crow and a wolf. I thought that was unique as usually it is only one animal. I loved Charlie. He just wants to please and help everyone. He was just too cute. I really felt for him as he struggled with his feelings for Roman. I w ...more

Come on! I'm sorry but the title Of Wolves and Men is already taken by the classic environmental book by Barry Lopez about the fate of wolves. It led to a singular reassessment of wolves and started the path to recovery of the species - still in jeopardy of course. Go read it if you are interested in wolves.

I am a great fan of quality gay-themed literature (of which this book is not) and this title is an insult to a classic.

And yeah, I love to stir things up.
This story was strange. Everything was plotted to fast and there was no real connection toward Charlie and Roman from my side. Simple said this writing style didn't make it possible to be deeply involved with characters. Even that crazy boy Butch, wow he was crazy and truly creepy. Overall this plot was a mess and we didn't really get normal explanation why all this happened to Roman or either to Charlie...

I gave 3 stars, even if this book doesn't deserve it. I really liked the idea, but I think, that the author didn't know how to use it... This is more 'it was ok', than anything else.
Edit: After second thought, star less.

I just couldn't get into it. Probably just me but I just didn't care about these characters.

This book sounds very trippy.... but I love writing and story lines that aren't predictable.
