This book grabbed my attention only in its few pages. It took me to the story about one faerie who was trapped on earth and its sad story. It also told me little bit about The Cinerians, frightening creature who hunted the humans and made them become slaves. Grasiella, a woman with great magical power was also introduced here. Three of them made the prologue become so interesting.

Then the first chapter brought me to Tatiana and Grasiella, the twin, in sum

Now this book was kind of interesting. It involved a whole bunch of different magical beings, myths, Greek gods, faires and things of that sort. Kind of was a hodge podge of everything paranormal or supernormal. I'm not really sure that I liked this book that much, it was kind of enjoyable but kind of not, there were a lot of things about it that.. I had higher hopes.. lets just say.

I don't know. It seemed like the start of the book was they were going to Hawaii to visit their Grandmother, their

Title Thoughts: I think it fits the book really well.

Cover Thoughts: Love the volcano erupting in the back ground and how one girl is really there and the other looks like a ghost.

WARNINGS: There might be one or two cuss words.

This book had me hooked. It was late when I picked it up and before I knew it I was half way done. It was getting late, so I told myself I would only read one more chapter...I ended up finishing the book. I was caught up in Shelley's writing, her characters, and the story

The cover to me represents a lot of what the story is about. I am not sure if it is Tatiana and Grasiella who are on the cover, or just Grasiella, but I like how in the back of the girls is the picture of Mauna Kea, the volcano in the story.

Tatiana and Grasiella are sent to one of the Hawaiian islands to spend the summer of 2045 with their grandmother, who they call “G.” Tatiana and Grasiella know the story about their ancestors and how they came to possess the magic from fairies, but there is

This is one of those books where it catches your attention right off the start and doesn't let go until you're closing the book upon completion. The plot was completely unpredictable and had me guessing through the entire book. With every chapter came something new. Every time I tried to sit this book down, I would end up picking it back up moments later just to see what happened next.

The twins, Grasiella and Tatiana, are two great female leads that go out of their comfort zones on many occasion

I received a copy of this through a first reads giveaway.

When this book appeared in my mailbox I was really excited. The cover is gorgeous and the synopsis on the back makes this sound good. Unfortunately when I began reading I discovered that this wasn't as wonderful as I was hoping.
As a whole the book showed promise and potential but turned out messy and confusing. The writing needed work, I'm not going to lie. It felt as if M. M. Shelley was rushing through this and skipped revisions complete

Background: Grasiella and her twin Tatiana have been sent to one of the Hawaiian islands to stay with their grandmother. While there they learn of their family legacy and how it is immersed in magic and ancient beings.

Review: I was surprised at how this book picked up, the first few chapters were a little slow for me, I think it was because I was confused about some things that were not addressed until about half way through...but anywho, this was a fun story.

The twins are easily likable, but t

I really loved this story and the characters. The author has created an interesting world where magic is real and can help or hinder even the best intentions. Even the background story/history about the Cinerians is interesting and would make a good series.

There are a lot of secrets in Hawaii and most of the time Grasiella and Tatiana really dont know much of what they are looking for but they stay strong and pull together and solve the mystery while learning not only secrets of these ancient be
