Strongest on statehood through the early eighties. Does a good job of recounting the rise of the Democratic Party in Hawaii and the elements that made it work. Really didn't have all that much on the success of the Republican Party in the late 1980s, the real rise of the Hawaiian sovereignity movement or the eventual conclusion of the H3 project.
Tom Coffman is an independent researcher, writer, and producer. He graduated from the William Allen White School, Kansas University, with a Bachelor in Journalism, and became a reporter for United Press International in New Mexico in 1965.
