I watched the news on the tasamis and it was devastating. I read this book a few years after and it's very interesting. It's pretty gory in some places, disturbing, but so well written. Not for eveyrone but if you like true stories, pick this up.

Having watched the movies TSUNAMI: THE AFTERMATH and THE IMPOSSIBLE, both of which are excellent, I think they should really make a movie, even if it's low budget, about Chris Jaymes' experiences in BOXING DAY, a vividly written, devastating portrait of the horror and then the heroic efforts to piece life back together afterward. Jaymes chronicles his experiences with wry humor and morose honesty. A great book I highly recommend to anybody!
