a zany gang of not-so-loveable misfit mystery-solvers slash over-the-top porn cast & crew meet up with and engage in horror-violence and sick sexnanigans - all taking place in Bizarro World. i probably should have picked a better title for my first Bizarro experience because the writing in this one really sucked it. the level of writing is about as junior high as can be imagined. although i suppose the layering of psychopathic form and sociopathic function did exert a certain kind of fascina ...more

After roaming into Stephen King Land (The Sorrow King) and exploring Holden Caulfield territory (Fuckness), Andersen Prunty hits back with a very Bizarro romp called The Sex Beast of Scurvy Island...and he returns to straight Bizarro with a vengeance. Part Scooby Doo and part Russ Meyer, Prunty gives us a gloriously violent and pornographic story that would make Henry Miller blush and send John Waters screaming and running to the safety of the nearest gay bar. The plot involves the Grassville Ga ...more

Bwahaha!! The title of this book is too much for me to handle! I read the free sample for my Kindle and decided the 99 cents I'd spend on this no doubt horribly hilarious book would be worth it! XD

And it was! I cackled through this whole thing! The story itself was absurd and stupid (in a good way) but well written in parts. I really hope Andersen Prunty writes more stories about the Grassville Gang (if he hasn't already)!

Best line in the whole book:

The outcome of Scooby Doo on Adult Swim. Sick, twisted, sexual. What to aspected from Prunty.

A crazed sex group who call them selves Grassville Gang love to solve crimes. They head to an island where they meet The Impregnator. The mystery is filled with demon babies, strange sex and twisted shit.
I would like to see the Grassville Gang solve a new mystery.

A fun ride. It was very much like a Scooby-Doo episode, if you add a huge amount of sex to the equation. Very cool.

Andersen Prunty, The Sex Beast of Scurvy Island (Enon, 2011)

Imagine an adult-film version of Scooby-Doo (the original, pre-Scrappy animated series, when it was still, you know, good) in which the entire crew did as many drugs as Shaggy did and you've got a great handle on where Andersen Prunty is coming from in The Sex Beast of Scurvy Island, a depraved, blatantly offensive, and very, very funny Kindle short that's well worth your time as long as you don't mind Prunty strapping on jackboots and

A team of mystery-solving porn stars hopped up on suspicious energy drinks travel to a resort island to figure out who (or what) has been killing its men and impregnating its women in this hilarious, raunchy SCOOBY-DOO spoof from bizarro master Andersen Prunty. True, Prunty has essentially written a dirty parody of a kid's cartoon--and it is plenty dirty, suggesting Prunty's probably seen D'Amato's PORNO HOLOCAUST a couple of times--but it's spot-on and peppered with many colorful, and off-color ...more

Ridiculous dark vulgar humor Scooby Doo meets the evil version of Orgazmo. All set in a highly pornographic cartoon hell that has an interesting selection of beverages, weaponry, and also happens to be a tourist location. Not a story for the easily offended or thin-skinned.

The Scooby Doo gang does sex. Simple, yet highly effective! Chock-full of memorable characters, hilarious situations, excellent sensory details and truly, a highlight of the Bizarro genre!
