Written in the 1950s, this is kind of dated, not in the information so much as the writing. I read the full transcript of the trial of George Lamson, the first poisoner profiled in the book, and was disappointed to notice several factual errors in Rowland's account -- which makes me wonder about the others. That said, the accounts are short but thorough, and it's good enough to read if you're interested in historic British poisoners.
