The second story of the Adventures of George & Mike was ok but I wish his editor would tell the writer he needs to stop repeating himself. I thought I would rip my hair out if I saw one more time how youthful, smart, and just what a darn good leader that George was...ya know his troops would follow him anywhere because he's that good...I mean I think George shits gold!! I really did enjoy this book, but...

What I liked: the relationship between George and Mike feels really settled; they have that quality of almost seeming to be able to read the other's mind when it comes to anything that affects them mutually. I tried to read this one. While it was better than Bodies of Work, I just could not make myself slog through to the end. Reading should be enjoyment not a chore.

Etienne hit another home run with this one, and I love the way George and Mike's relationship is growing. I also loved the drag queen, Madame Dixie. I've known people like that. Too bad she got killed in the prologue.

I really enjoy this series. The journey of the main characters as well as the mystery to solve in each book makes me not want to put my ereader down until I finish!
