We moved in 2007, 2010, and 2011 and books are heavy, so I did some hard core weeding in my cookbook collection and only kept the ones that were good, useful or sentimental to me. This is the first time I've bought a cookbook in a LONG time!

In this cookbook, are photos of Sheryl Crow and recipes by her personal chef Chuck White who travels with her when she is on tour and prepares all of her meals and snacks then and prepares meals and snacks for her when she is working when she is not on tour too. The recipes are healthy and information is given throughout the book about how and why to chose organic foods. I love this book because it does all the hard work for you. The look/layout is beautiful, the recipes mouthwatering, and the ingredients are fresh and wholesome. The health tips in the book are from a real accredited nutritionist, Rachel Beller, and not just from the cook. My only criticisms are that some of the ingredients can be a tad expensive (truffle oil, organic meat) - but it's usually possible to substitute. there aren't any recipes in here that my family world eat. well written, just wish there were pictures

Not sure why this book got such rave reviews. I have tow major problems with it.

1. It's not very healthy. Yes she recommends SOY products a lot, but then adds lots of butter, sugar and whole cream.

2. There are almost NO pictures of the prepared recipes. A recipe for soup will be paired with a gorgeous photograph of a bunch of fresh parsley. Although I am an experienced cook, I do like to see photographs of the prepared dish.

I really liked this cookbook --the recipes were simple, creative, seasonal and fresh. And I haven't been disappointed with the ones I made and shared with my family and friends.

Packed with an excellent selection of healthy, varied and delicious recipes and supplemented with gorgeous photography, I would highly recommend this cook book to anyone interested in cooking with a fresh, healthy twist.

I loved this cookbook. I won't be making all the recipes but a good number of them I will. I enjoyed all the information I learned about the foods chosen for the recipes. I read the book cover to cover and took many notes I can incorporate into all the food I choose to eat.

I was disappointed in the recipes in this book. There are one or two that I can make, but overall the recipes do not appeal to my family and include items that are not available in my area.
