This is the story about the tragedy of the death of the mother in the family and how the children brought their papa back from his depression.

A different little Christmas story. Heartbreaking, but with a happy ending. Just right for reading in front of the fire in December.

Talk about a book with a good ending! This is it! Papa is grief stricken after the death of his wife, and his five children are heartbroken to have lost their mom and their dad, too. Papa says they won't be celebrating Christmas this year. I loved how the story is told from the 13-year-old daughter's point of view. It's a short story worth reading.

A sentimentally sweet story. Just right for the Christmas season. The most interesting thing about this book is that the author is best known for playing Mayella Violet Ewell in the film version of To Kill a Mockingbird.
