Four years after Airship Captain Stig Rayner left Isabelle Feeney Hemsworth on a London sidewalk with a sizable windfall tucked into her pocket, she's built a life for herself hauling cargo out of Moscow. After really enjoying the first installment in this series, I was a bit let down by the follow-up. I was looking forward to Isabelle and Stig reuniting and working as a team again, and expecting an exciting trans-continental race with adventures, mishaps, and interactions with competitors, but instead I found it rather boring and repetitive. As I said with the first book. The story and the characters are there. It could be a very interesting book but it really needs to be filled out. I need to understand the war in the first book. What happened to Isabelles parents? An accident really needs more info for me. Her brother, can you tell me more about her life and reuniting with him.
This really could become a great book!

Just read bk 2. In this series. I really likes the first bk but this was more like a short story. Tied A few details together so that it followede thie first o e. But it was not nearly as good. Bell finds stig has become addicted to opium. Turns out because he is indebted to sirens. Who want him to father their children. I don't know I hope the third bk if there is one is better
