Aptly titled, Magical Mystery Tours essentially chronicles the wild life of Tony Bramwell which just so happens to intricately intertwine with the always interesting exploits of our beloved Beatles!

Tony's approach is very different than most biographies & is extremely entertaining!. He doesn't tip-toe around The Beatles' stories as if it were "holy history" or if they were made of fine china. He dives right in with sex jokes and gossip (where else will you come across a line, "to celebrate, he lost his virginity that evening and then told his mates" that comes off totally like your friends teasing you and not be...more

This is one of my favorite biographies I have ever read. It's engaging and was what really lured me into fully appreciating the Beatles as well as their impact on a generation. It's raw and honest which is what I really like about it. It shows the Beatles for who they really were and is told from one of their roadies. I highly recommend this book for any Beatles fan.
This insightful book takes you through the life of the Beatles as seen by their childhood friend and constant roadie/video producer Tony Bramwell. The timeline of the band's life span is interspersed with funny anecdotes and interesting stories that keep you reading till the very end. I found the tidbits about John and Yoko's relationship to be the most interesting parts.
Another Beatles book, but this one with a twist: the author was a close personal friend of the Fab Four from childhood onward. Things really get rocking when Bramwell shares the you-had-to-be-there details from parties and get-togethers with Sixties musical royalty. Recommended to all of my fellow Beatlemaniacs.
The details slow down the story sometimes, but Bramwell usese a 'light' style of writing that is very easy to read. Overall it was very enjoyable.
I thought I knew everything about the Beatles but this insider look really surprised me.

If you can't be the Beatles, grow up with them. Wow -- living Tony Bramwell's life sounds pretty damn good. He grew up with or around John, Paul & George and ended up working for them as they broke and Beatlemania hit the world. The people he's gotten to know and often hang out with in the music industry is mind-boggling. A very interesting look into the world of the Beatles (and boy, does this guy hate Yoko!). Maybe a bit longer than it needed to be, but still a worthwhile read for any fan...more
This was the best book about the 60's I read this summer. Tony Bramwell gives a personal depiction of the Fab Four as well as other up and coming musical arists. It is an excellent inside view of how The Beatles were formed and the goings on over the years which led to their breakup when the self proclaimed 5th Beatle (Yoko - what a wacko) inserted herself inside there inner sanctum. It will strip away illusions with facts from Bramwell. Well written in it's delivery.
If you're more than into their music, then Bramwell's book will provide prequels as well as dirty deeds. He's almost a Forrest Gump of the Beatles in that he always seems to find himself in the thick of things without affecting the outcome.

A interesting read about a very influential group and the impact that they had on the entire world. I was sad when I read about how they broke up, and now I don't like Yoko Ono.
If you're a staunch Beatles fan you might enjoy it, though it gets a bit tedious here and there. It's clear that Bramwell HATES Yoko Ono and really slams her.

A very good book. Tony B. has an amazing recollection of his life with the Beatles, although, at times, he strays away from the point.
Interesting observations from someone who was actually there.
Anyone who likes the Beatles will love this book!
