I was so excited to get an early copy of this third book in the ANASTASIA series by Joy Preble.

ANASTASIA FOREVER by Joy Preble (Sourcebooks, August 1, 2012)

In short...

I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

In a little bit longer form, I'm going to give you five great reasons to fall utterly in love with these books!

1) Okay, just to get it out in the open, Joy is a dear friend of mine! So I admit I am totally biased when it come to her story. But I fell in love with DREAMING ANASTASIA long before Joy and I were frie...more

Two words: Russian folklore.

I absolutely loved Dreaming Anastasia series, and Anastasia Forever - the third and final instalment - in particular. If you're into folklore, myths, legends, spooky bedtime stories about witches and fantastic creatures that are out there to get you.. well, this is the series for you! Featuring rich Eastern European mythology, culture and history, Anastasia Forever is a breath-taking conclusion to a mervellous, enticing and beautifully-written YA Historical Romance...more

Joy Preble manages to take a familiar Russian lore and give it a plot line that has suspense, mystery, humor, and surprising findings with the third and final book of the Dreaming Anastasia series, Anastasia Forever. As the series comes to a close, Joy continues to reveal surprising secrets as well as answering questions that may still be lingering. All of the loose connections seemed to finally connect, as Anne has to travel back in time to get some answers and learn how it links her and Ethan’...more
Dark Faerie Tales
Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: Anne’s power comes with great responsibility and it’s time for her to accept it.

Opening Sentence: After a certain number of lifetimes, one becomes capable of much if only out of sheer repetition.

The Review:

Up until now, Anne Michaelson has had a hard time adjusting to all this “magic stuff.” For a girl that would rather be making out with her boyfriend, time and time again she finds herself in the middle of events beyond her comprehension an...more

Anastasia Forever by Joy Preble is the third book in the Dreaming Anastasia series. So much has happened since Dreaming Anastasia. Anne has so many decisions to make. It's almost as if all the creatures in the supernatural realm are out to get her. She has to deal with an old witch, a bitter mermaid, and a psychopathic relative who is out to destroy them. To figure out how to defeat him, Anne has to travel back in time to understand events that could hold the key to stopping Viktor for good.

I am always a little afraid when I know I am going to be reading the last book of a series. I am so worried that the author won't give the characters the ending that I want for them! But I was pleasantly surprised with the direction that Anastasia Forever took, and I am happy to say that I loved the ending!

My heart really does go out for Anne and Ethan. Only a little while ago, Anne was a normal girl, and in a split second her entire life has changed. She learned that she is a witch, and a power...more

I was so excited to hear that there was going to be a 3rd book in this series. I didn't feel the story was quite done after the 2nd. This was a much better overall ending to the story!

I think Anne really had a lot to deal with in this book. She has that promise that she made to Baba Yaga, the russian witch. A maybe boyfriend struggling with his new found mortality. A best friend who probably meddles a little too much. A grandmother who is a rusalka (a form of meraid). It's not wonder that she re...more

I've been waiting for this book to come out since i finished Haunted. And it was just as good as Haunted and Dreaming Anastasia. I've always found the story of Anastasia Romanov interesting so when I discovered Dreaming Anastasia I was so excited, I fell in love with Anne, Ethan, and Tess as well as the story line. And I managed to read this in one day as I had Dreaming Anastasia and Haunted.

Anastasia Forever doesn't disappoint. It has the right amount of romance, action, drama, and magic. The...more
Mundie Moms & Mundie Kids
A rich Russian lore with a light yet intense romance, and a plot line that has moments of humor, suspense, mystery, and shocking discoveries, Joy Preble's Anastasia Forever wraps up Ethan and Anne's story perfectly. I've really enjoyed reading this series, and being that this is the last book in the series, I found it to be just as fabulous as the first one. Which isn't always the case for me when reading a series. I always find myself favoring one book over the rest, and in this case I've reall...more

Hmmmm. This one was soo much darker than the other two and I was disappointed in the content and language. There was more than the previous two, which was frustrating. I understand that Russian folklore is not light and fluffy, but combine that with the language and sexual content (some would say there's not really, but I beg to differ), I felt I needed a shower after reading it.

Now, I really liked that choices and consequences of those actions, both good and bad, were stressed in the book beca...more

This book was way better then the second installment. It was fun and easy to read and I really enjoyed some of the ending. It gave the reader the knowledge of what happened to all the characters starting with Anne through her parents. The author even mentions Anastasia in the ending. This novel was a good stopping point for the series.

An interesting ending to an interesting story. This was a scary, strange and mystical tale about Russian folk tales and magic and love.

Hard to get into but I think that is because I didn't realize that it was the third in a series. So I was lost through most of it

good ending to a three book series. an interesting read but a bit too far-fetched at times. the story brings you through a few loops but not to the point of confusion.

This book earned five stars on the ending alone!!! May I take a moment to be a squealing fangirl? EEEEEEEEH I LOVE THE COVER!!!! They found the PERFECT guy for Ethan, he fits the bill wonderfully. Okay, back to the book. As I've come to expect from Preble, it was phenomenal, the story continued to be original and the characters genuine. The mystery kept on until the last wonderful page and an absolutely terrific ending. A fantastic finish for a great series! Hat's off to you, Preble
