Super yummy. I've made about ten of the recipes so far, and they've all been delicious. A couple of them--the ginger tempeh and adzuki bean cakes--are regulars in our weeknight menu now, because they're super easy to prepare and really tasty. (The latter is especially yummy in a wrap with whatever other veggies you have on hand, lettuce, and vegan chipotle mayo.)
If you cook regularly, you'll probably have 70% of the ingredients on hand already, so I'd have to disagree with other reviews that cl...more

Thank you to Monica who lent me her autographed copy of this book. I really appreciated the opportunity to read the book and share my impressions with others via this review.
Here’s the thing: I love this book, but I’m not as enthusiastic about the recipes, at least most of them, at least for everyday eating. Some of the food looks fabulous and I’d like to try much of it, but this isn’t exactly my type of book. I’m the first to admit that my tastes are unusual and I can be a finicky eater. The bo...more

Lovely cook-book, excellent pictures and yummy sounding recipes. A bit too much for me though, everything has a lot of ingredients, and while I'm sure people that actually cook would find it easy to put them all together, I'm not at that stage. I also dont like my food to be very spicy or taste of too many things so I'm worried I would spend ages making something and not like it lol Still, for a party or occasion I might try something here.
It's always a challenge to create vegan versions of the yummy food that you're familiar with, but the recipes in this book are the best I've had to date! The directions aren't confusing and there's not a lot of crazy ingredients that require scavenging across the internet or your local over-priced health food stores to find. The sisters are quirky to the extreme and the little health blurbs that come with each recipe are very interesting. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting heal...more
This cookbook was nice, and included a picture of every recipe, which is a must for me with cookbooks. I'm not a vegan, and some of the recipes had crazy vegan-specific ingredients that I'd never heard of, but most of the them seem pretty do-able (although I would likely swap out a few vegan ingredients for their non-vegan counterparts).
