The last of "The Only's" and I found that I enjoyed them much more than "The Perfect's". The characters were so much warmer and more interesting. Everyone from the previous books did appear so you got to catch up on all the characters of Fool's Gold, it was a great reminder on who was with who and how many kids they currently have- I love that. Most of the time with this many books I forget. Also in Only His you had 2 additional love stories, although not very deep in detail, they were character ...more

This story was barely adequate, and the side-characters didn't help, either. I think I'll keep this one short because the series really needs to be read in order (to this point, anyway), and you know about what to expect by now, probably.

My problem with this book is Tucker. He's an idiot and kind of a jerk and I couldn't care less if Nevada ended up with him. He certainly didn't deserve her and the whole book I wondered what she saw in him. It felt more like a crush than an actual relationship.

The last of the Hendrix triplet's gets their happy ending in Only His. This book follows Nevada Hendrix as she goes after a job that she wants, working for a guy that broke her heart. When Nevada was eighteen years old and away at college, her older brother Ethan gave her the name and number of a childhood friend who would show her around and help her if she ever needed it. Nevada wasn't really planning on using the number but when Ethans asks, she caves and gives him a call. She wasn't expectin ...more

This book was... odd. There were some great plot elements, but they went in really strange directions -- which unfortunately was not a sufficient distraction from the fact that the basic plot is the same one as the other books in this series. And the mix of serious and farcical felt uneasy and unbalanced to me.

The town of Fool’s Gold has never seemed all the plausible to me, but in previous books it was certainly a positive place. Here, I got the sense that the town prides itself on being provin

Ehhh, no sé porque los estoy leyendo sin orden pero, amo esta serie, así mucho.
Another good installment for the Fool's Gold series. This one was a bit corny at times and I'm not sure what to say about the whole part Cat played in this story, the relationship, and the town. There was a good base for this couple and I was enjoying them work around their past and through it. But there were some situations once Cat returned to the picture that just took away from the story. It was just a little to ridiculous at times. In a world where we have some slightly over involved home t ...more

Only His is the sixth book in the Fool’s Gold series by Susan Mallery. I have loved every single book so far and I really enjoyed this one, too.

Nevada Hendrix is the last unattached sister of the Hendrix triplets. She never forgot her first love, though and when Tucker Janack comes to Fool’s Gold to oversee the casino project Nevada is working on, her feelings come back tenfold. We get to know what happened between Nevada and Tucker at college and why Ne

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! I was so happy when this book came out and I was definately not disappointed at all! Most of my questions got answered and there was still one I had left in the end Is there going to be 3 more books for Charlie, Annabelle and Heidi?! I sure as hell hope so.

None of these Fool's Gold books get old and they don't get boring. Each one brings something new to the plate about the woman, man and town. It surprised me at every turn especially since we finally learn Jo's past! I think

Never agree to a job interview in which the interviewer has seen you naked.

That wonderful piece of advice above is the opening line of the story of Nevada and Tucker. Nevada is the only one of her sisters that hasn't found love yet. Dakota has Finn and Montana has Simon. Nevada isn't jealous but she wants something important in her life, too, so she goes after a job she really wants. The boss just happens to be the man who took her virginity. I thought that Nevada and Tucker were great

Why read: Love the series.

What impressed me: This series gets better and better with each new book. I loved the entire dynamic Tucker and Nevada had going. Their mutual past gets in the way of the present, interfering with both business and prospective love. They fight so hard against each other and their obvious desires that you just want to smack the two of them, all the while their getting deeper and deeper under your skin. This was another super quick, totally engaging Fool's Gold novel from

With both of her triplet sisters engaged, Nevada swears she's just fine and totally not feeling left out. She applies for her dream job after years of working for her brother, only to find out that her boss will be the guy who was her first love and first 'you know what.' After a world of pain and heartbreak, Tucker swears off love and gladly obliges Nevada's strict 'only business' policy. But despite his previous failure at love and the fact that he broke Nevada's heart all those years ago, nei ...more

Susan Mallery brings us back to Fool's Gold with the sixth installment of the series, Only His. This time, the story belongs to Nevada Hendrix, the last triplet to be featured in the series. Having read the three stories about the Hendrix sisters, I have to say that Only His was my favorite.

Nevada Hendrix is a triplet to Dakota and Montana Hendrix. They share everything. From their quirky personalities, similar beauty, and smart wits, there isn't much that separates the tri

The last of the Hendrix girls story. I really thought it was more of a three star read than a four, but I had several laugh out loud moments in this one. I also am looking forward to future installments in the series so I'll round up to a four for this.

Nevada was involved with Tucker Janack the same way a moth was involved with a flame. Let's just say that their shared past was NOT pretty. So a decade later does she still feel the draw to the flame?

I loved Jo's story. I thought that was rather s

Nevada and Tucker have a history. As in – a naked history. Together. I think Susan Mallery starts the book off great, with Nevada’s interview with Tucker, and all she can think is that ‘he’s seen me naked.’ It’s quite the popular romance plot – and I love it anyways.

They both need each other – she needs the opportunity this job could provide her, and he needs her community connections to get his business rolling. While they might agree to a hand’s off policy, it doesn’t take long before they gi

Nevada Hendrix has been working for her brother, Ethan, since she returned home from college. Determined to do something on her own, she applies for a construction manager position with Janack Construction. They're building a new casino/resort complex and she figures it's the perfect opportunity to prove to herself that she's good at what she does. What she doesn't expect is to run into the man she felt was her soul mate and the reason for her worst humiliation and heartbreak.

I enjoyed Nevada's story but was a little disappointed that Jo's story didn't get a separate book. It seemed a bit rushed and precipitate and Jo deserved more time and attention. So did Will. Having the deadline of the other sisters' wedding made me feel that Nevada didn't have much time either so I had this feeling of haste and pressure hanging over me as I read, and I didn't really feel that I got to know Nevada or Tucker well. Besides, Tucker struck me as somewhat hypocritical. After telling ...more

Only His is the last of the Hendrix triplets trilogy.
Nevada Hendrix has always been more comfortable in a hard hat than in high heels and she’s proven her worth as a construction boss working under her older brother, but she has dreams too and to spread her wings means flying from the safety of the family business nest. Nevada accepts an interview with Janack construction, a global company with a great reputation expecting to interview with company owner Elliot only to find herself face to face
A Tasty Read Book Reviews

As a lover of all Susan Mallery I have read all of her books, and I love the Fool's Gold series. I was so excited for Nevada book after reading both of her sisters love stories, but I just didn't love this one as much as I did the other two.

The relationship between Tucker and Nevada was some what overshadowed by the romance between Denise and Max and then with Will and Jo. The other romances were also thrown together and grew very quickly....I just felt as if

Very good book. I liked the reunion of Tucker and Nevada. I wish she hadn't lied to him about their first encounter -- he deserved to suffer for that one. They seemed to be making good progress on getting to know each other when Cat walked back into their lives. Talk about your totally selfish person, uncaring of anyone or how her actions affect other people. I could not wait for her to be gone. I did like seeing her effect on Tucker, and how he related to her ten years later. His relationship w

This is the third and last book in this new trilogy set in the fictional town of Fool’s Gold. If you are new to the series you should know that each book features one of the Hendrix’s triplets. Only His is Nevada’s book and her turn to find her happily ever after.

Ten years ago Nevada was away from home about to start college and feeling like a fish out of water. It was the first time in her life that she wasn’t living at home and worse, it was her f

How I got this book: NetGalley

I’ve been waiting anxiously for the last triplet to get her HEA, and when I realized it was not only a friends to lovers story, but a previous fling plot as well, I was super excited. I think Mallery does an exception job of taking some of the more classic plot-lines and putting her own unique spin on them.

Nevada has wanted to step out on her own, take a job th

This is my favorite if the 2011 Fool’s Gold books. I fell hard for Tucker. He’s a charmer with a sense of humor and a low jerk quotient, and even when he runs from commitment, it doesn’t take him long to see his wrongheadedness. Nevada is a strong heroine, a risk-taker who excels in a male-dominated profession and addresses her relationship with Tucker with a refreshing directness. Cat adds an unexpected element, and as usual with Mallery’s books, the secondary romances are terrific additions to ...more
AS with all the other books in this series, the ending is really abrupt. They all seem to go from middle of the big misunderstanding to "I love you" The End. Again with all the other books in the series so far there are a lot of characters that just drop off the face of the earth--I like a few more tied up ends.

I normally really like books by Susan Mallery, but this one seemed…busy for me.

I enjoyed the relationship between Nevada and Tucker and I didn’t mind the small parts dedicated to Nevada’s mom, but I became bored reading about Jo and Will and I had no interest in Cat.

(view spoiler)
Probably the best of the new 3 books. You really do get 3 for the price of 1 with this book and as Rosy notes (, none of the romances encroach on each other.

Susan Mallery does a really nice job with this story and the town.

Cat was an interesting addition to the story and Susan Mallery takes her in a different direction than just crazy ex. I wonder if Cat will come back to Fools Gold and have her own book, I hope not. I bet it would be an interesting story

I think this is my third book in this series. I had several issues with this one. A certain someone's reappearance was timed so perfectly that it was completely unbelievable. It annoyed me so much I almost decided not to finish the book at all but I hate leaving books unfinished. Also, the two additional minor romances in the story made the story really busy and unfocused. And the whole double wedding thing really bothered me. The triplets couldn't have been that close or they would've noticed N ...more

My personal opinion: I really enjoyed Nevada's story and I found the new characters interesting. I'm most curious about the new librarian. In Only His so much happens not just with Nevada but with her mother and Max and Jo's secret is finally revealed. All I can say is OMG! I had just started the chapter in which she tells all when I had decided I would stop reading and go to sleep when I finished the chapter. Ha! No way could I stop after tha

There was a lot going on here that had nothing to do with Nevada and Tucker you also get Jo's story and Denise Hendrix' story. I probably could have done without either but there was enough of a buffer. The basic plot is similar to the rest in the series where the girl realizes before the guy that she's in love with him. He runs. Don't get me wrong, I liked Nevada, but didn't understand why she would be attracted to Tucker in the least. He was kind of awful to her when they first met and he neve ...more

(This is a repost of my Amazon review, so it may refer to other customers' reviews that I read there.)

This series is loosely set in trilogies; at the time of this reading, I had read Fools Gold #4-6 (I later went back and read 1-3). It tied up some loose ends/hints, yet stood alone quite well.

I won't go into a long review, but, having read some of the other reviews, I'd like to comment:

- Tucker was a bit of a jerk, but he made sense. He doesn't do anything that is out of character, as Susan Mall
