Recommends it for: In the mood for a quick romantic read
I couldn't help it: This book put a silly grin on my face.

Edie and Tyler are as different as night and day. She's a city slicker from NYC; he's a southern boy from Texas. He's uptight, starchy, closed-fisted; she's a fly by-by-the-seat of your pants gal. “What do you need?” she asked.

“Sorry,” she said, and rang off.
The buzzer rang again.
“Who is this?”
“Sorry,” she said, and rang off.
Once again, the buzzer sounded.
She pounded at the button. “What?”
“If you actually didn’t want to talk to me, you wouldn’t be answering the bell.”

I almost gave up on reading this a couple of times. It was painful to read about a sweet, eccentric, and interesting woman setting herself up to fail with a guy. I had to remind myself that harlequins end happily. Tough to read but the author really has an intelligent and interesting voice. I read the other two books in the set and liked them as well.
