Imagine our whole universe colliding with other universes. That would start a big war, right? And most of the time, only bad guys can cause big wars. Well, in the book NERDS cheerleaders of doom, this is the case, Gerdie Baker( Mathlete ) is a former member of NERDS, that looks a lot like Bigfoot. Gerdie has also made a new machine that can let her, and other people to go in to universes. But, Gerdie gets extensive plastic surgery-and even changes her name. However the NERDS team does know that

I thoroughly enjoyed the third book for the NERDS series. It is nice that Michael Buckley focused on one of the female members of the team. This time Matilda Choi is asked to put aside her tomboy image and become part of an elite cheerleading squad - Team Strike Force.
One of the members is suspected of being an old NERD that has gone rogue. Gertrude Baker was an old member who's family moved to Akron, Ohio. Evidence of tears in the multiverse is causing all kinds of c More...

I, the secret agent SmartiePants have thoroughly enjoyed this rousing rendition of the tales of Matilda #217. As a member of the interdimensional NERDS, it's always nice to hear from other dimensions. I'm very glad that Matilda #217 has learned not to assume because even though cheerleading seems like a brainless, idiotic game, we all let out WOOO's every once in a while (:

I loved this book! I loved it because it is so funny! For example:the cover makes me crack up whenever I see it! I don't think the author intended for it to be funny, but it is just so silly! I would recommend this book for 3rd graders and up but probably below middle schoolers because I think it would be too babyish for them.

This continues to be a great series. I enjoy it every bit as much as the "Fairy Tale Detectives" series, & that's saying something. Great humor & adventure for kids, but there's also some meat to the story - the final battle scene where Matilda comes up against all the other versions of herself from all the planets in the multiverse could spark some great conversations about how everyone has a multifaceted personality with many definitions.

This book in the series focuses on Matilda, who is forced to become a cheerleader in order to find the devise responsible for the rips in the diminsions before it causes the entire universe to self-destruct. As always, the book was fun, although this one seemed to have a very abrupt ending.
