When Deputy Sheriff Jake Madigan was called to duty to bring in an escaped convict, he thought it would be a routine search-and-rescue mission. He was wrong. Turns out capturing Abby Nichols was a cinch compared to hauling her out of the Rocky Mountains during a treacherous blizzard. His pretty-as-sin prisoner was not the hardened criminal he had expected but a violet-eyed

Jake is a deputy and also works for search and rescue. He is called out look for an escaped convict called Abby, who is serving for life and has also got a history of mental instability. Jake tracks her down soon enough and she tries to escape with proclamations of innocence, Jake doesn't believe her. Ever since he was taken in and fleeced by a woman, he has no intention of falling for the same.

Abby is a desperate woman, she is innocent and her life is in danger. She was betrayed by the man she
Really good story, until the very end where it lost some credibility. Why would the shooter suddenly stop shooting bullets and start shooting pictures? They still wanted her dead. Why could the shooter find them when the rest of the RMSAR team couldn't? Never explained. And then the chief villain turned into a cartoon character at the end. But overall a good story if you like hot Colorado cowboy cops. Yum! 3.5 stars.

Not the best Harlequin I've ever read, and not the worst, either. Cabin romance, with the added twist that the hero thinks the heroine's a crazy murderess, or likely one, for most of the book, which would make things quite squicky in real life.
What you would expect from Harlequin/Silhouette. Not complaining, but if you are not into the sappy romance, don't read this.
The sexy hero, search & rescue cop on horseback...
Stuck in a sparse cabin with a beautiful escaped convict, exclaiming she was framed.
Hmmm, what do you think happens? Enjoyable easy read.

Another on my keeper shelf! Loved the action and sexual tension in Just A Little Bit Dangerous. I sure did love Harlequin's Intimate Moments line. Recommended read!
