I must have been reading a different book than everyone else on here. Because how so many people give this book 4 and 5 star reviews, is puzzling. Other than a somewhat good plot, the good about this book ends there.
First of all, an author should never, ever review their own book, and at that give themselves a 5 star review. That's just tasteless and classless.
As a relatively new publisher, Liquid Silver Books needs to invest in a proper editor, and not let the authors self-edit. When an author...more

The fascinating and secretive world of the Coteri Kingdom and their Valta nemesis was hard to put down. These shifters are unique. They aren’t limited to one animal form. Although, they tend to shift to their most familiar one more often.
Mina is devastated by the death of her mother. Even more so when she finds a hoard of letters written to her mother from her non-existent father. She is struck numb with the realization that not once in her 28 years did he...more

I can never read too many books on the paranormal because as Ms. Donnelly and Ms. Mackenzie have proven there are always new ways to show how shifters came to be. I loved there fresh take on shifters.
The characters were so easy to relate to and fall in love with. I didn’t want to put this delightful story down once I started because I was caught up in it from beginning to end.

Infinite Betrayal introduces us to the world of the Coteri, a very unique race of shapeshifters and the Valta which is headed by Valencia, the enemy of Roderick and the Coteri.
The book starts off with Mina morning the loss of her mother and trying to cope with her death. Mina feels alone because her mother was the only family she had being that her mother had told her her father had died when she was a baby. Her best friend Chloe is the only...more

I'm giving this 3 to 3.5 stars. There were some things that pulled me out of the story but overall I still liked it and wanted to keep reading.
My nitpicks:
- Overuse of the Mine! Mine! You're Mine! exclamations of possession. I expect these in a romance and even like them, especially in a paranormal romance, but when it is done constantly it loses its effectiveness and becomes annoying.
- Overuse of each other's names in the dialog.
- There was something about the style of the narrative that bugge...more

DNF simply because my poor brain could no longer rewrite/edit this book any longer.
Firstly: research is your friend, and for that matter so is Google. Errors like Germans driving on the 'other side of the road', and European jeans being smaller than American ones (so much that she had to buy MEN'S ONES!)were laughable at best. Then there was the strange sentence structure "more wet" rather than a simple and smoother "wetter". And that is just one small example. I'm not even going to get started...more

My Thoughts: Wow! Where do I start expressing how much Gayle Donnelly and Robyn Mackenzie pulled me into the world of the Coteri and had me falling in love left and right! “Infinite Betrayal” is a new shape shifter experience. In this novel they are called Coteri and though they have one prominent go to for shifting, they can also shift into other things as well. After the death of her mother, Mina is lost and hurting only to discover letters which will lead her to a life changing move. With the...more

I was super excited to finally getting the chance to read this debut book. The premise of this book is drawing, the characters especially the men are totally "alpha" material, no whimpy characters here.
The characters' quirky behaviors and dialogue was great, engaging. I even liked the bit of information given about the Coteri, especially that they do not limit to "one" shape like your run of the mills shape shifters (reminds me of my role playing character)

Gayle Donnelly and Robyn MacKenzie’s “Infinite Betrayal”—Book 1 of the “Blood Feud” series—is an intense and highly sensual paranormal mystery romance. Donnelly and MacKenzie create a dark and dangerous environment where mystical beings secretly live side-by-side with humans. Their male characters are warrior gentlemen who are virile, gallant, and honorable. Their female characters are worthy counterpoints with plenty of class, wit, and moxxy to offset their potent male alphas. “Infinite Betraya...more

Ok, I officially want to meet a Coteri; a shifter race whose role is protect the balance between humans and animals. This was an awesome book and the author did an amazing job introducing me to a new world and new take on shifters.

WOW…. Great 1st book in a new series and I do believe that the ladies will not be able to stop at three.
Infinite Betrayal introduces us to a new world of shifters. The Coteri. The Coteri’s are not your average shifters. While they have one form that is the strongest some can shift into other forms. The Coteri’s are a closely guarded secret; their role is to protect the human race and nature at the same time.

I really enjoyed Infinite Betrayal. Def. wasn't perfect..as others have pointed out, there was a little bit of repetitiveness when things were being explained and there were some overlapping points of view but it wasn't so bad that it kept me from enjoying the over all story. The first half was a little slow going, but i'll often write that off as "first book syndrome"...obviously there's the setting up of the background story and introduction of all the key players but it picked...more
