Another fabulous volume! This volume starts a long arc about The Impure King's eyes. I really can't wait to read more. I like longer arcs because it means more storyline, more plot, more development, more AWESOMENESS! Woot, woot! *party dance*
Okay in this volume, we got to see more of Bon and his past. I mean definitely we haven't seen it all but it was more than just the Blue Night this from before. (Totally a random thought but I really want to visit Kyoto).

Rin's friends are now all aware that he's the son of Satan. The three young monks, ie. Bon, Neko and Shima, don't want to have anything to do with him, but when they are assigned to a mission that takes them back to the environs of Kyoto, they don't have a choice but to accept that Rin is there, whether they like it or not.

Rin Okumura is the illegitimate son of Satan, but he and his twin brother, Yukio, have been raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist. Once he discovers the truth, Rin swears to defeat Satan by entering the famous True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. The only trouble is, he has to keep his demon heritage a secret or he stands a good chance of being destroyed by the very people he wants to join.

This volume just didn't do it for me. Too little happened. Everyone is still avoiding Rin and he keeps acting like it doesn't bother him. Shiemi also got on my nerves this volume, she's all troubled about wanting to do something, but doesn't actually do anything (yet). She also breaks down in front of Izumo and for some reason Izumo equaled this to Shiemi having guts? I didn't get it. I also wish Kuro had a bigger role other than 'hat'.
Wasn't into this. I felt like there was nothing in the way of character development other than one nice moment with Kamiki. Everyone else stayed in a holding pattern of being suspicious of Rin after learning about his origins last volume. The plot didn't do anything interesting either, it was all set up. 2.5 stars
Pretty fun, but somehow not quite as entertaining as previous volumes. I guess this one is mostly set-up for the next story arc. Most of Rin's friends are still unsure how to act around him now that they know his secret. I like how he deals with it though.
A bit slower than pervious volumes, but we are being introduced to a new arc at the same time, so a lot of information is given to us.

I started reading this volume and then I was so busy for a few days I didn't get around to getting back to it so I feel like I forgot most of what happened. I know it was a lot of boring (compared to other volumes).
I hope things work out for Rin because I really like him a lot. And I wish him and Yukio were closer and got a long better... I think I've been yearning for their relationship to be different...but I don't think it will :-( But who knows, maybe it will change. We'll have to wait and s...more

The action in this is wonderful and the thickening plot keeps me wanting more. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a demon/exorcist twist to their reading schedule.
