Please, please, please let there be another edition with a pretty cover like the first one!

I am not liking the cover for this. AT ALL. I'm just hoping that there is another version of it. The cover of 'Touched' was so beautiful... and this looks like it's about a girl with high-school problems.

I don't say this very often, but this is one of those occasions where I liked the second book in the series even more than the first. (And I really enjoyed TOUCHED) Jackson has gone out of her way not to rush the development of the characters and the storyline as she dolled out the first two books in the Sense Thieves trilogy, but she also hasn't wasted my time or dangled me over any unnecessary cliffs to wait for the next installment. You get both satisfaction and anticipation.

By the end of TOU...more

Remy may have gotten rid of Dean, but now it’s time to meet her maternal Grandfather, and see what he has to teach her.

This was another great instalment in this series, and I really enjoyed it!

Remy continued to be pretty selfless in this book, and I really felt sorry for her and everything she had to go through. She really did endure more than anyone should ever have to endure, and was forced to hurt people she loved just to keep them safe.

The storyline in thi...more

Remy leaves home to seek answers and meet her grandfather. She is welcomed with opened arms and meets the healer community. However, people are keeping secret...more

After high school graduation, Remy decided she’d go on a trip to look for some answers about her heritage. Not certain if she’d be safe, Asher followed her but soon got into trouble when he was being caught and tortured by some Protectors. Could Remy find a way to bargain with the Protectors without getting herself killed?

I adored Remy. She had a big heart and she wasn’t the type to back down without a fight! I honestly thought she and Asher would have some sweet, intimate moments while they wer...more

Pushed was such a good sequel!
At first, i didn't think it was as good as the first, but as the story progressed, my opinion totally changed!

Remy was a great character again... but there was a few times where she was slow to catch on.
I loved Ben, Laura and Lucy again as well. They wasn't in it for a huge chunk of the book, and i really missed them.

The ending had me crying.
Seriously..

It was so good, but so so sad!!

Overall, a really great read!

Update 1/9/14
This book was superb. It is the second installment in the Touched series by Corrine Jackson. This book added elements that I thought might have been forgotten such as the fact that the main antagonist from the first book is dead (Dean). Ms. Jackson needed to come up with another one and fast and she did an amazing job! (view spoiler)...more

Pushed is a fantastic sequel to Touched. I enjoyed the first book in the series, but I wasn't absolutely in love with it. However, this time around, Jackson won me over. I fell in love with the setting, the characters, and the plot. I can't wait to see what Jackson has in store for her characters next. They grew so much in this installment, and the plot was fast paced and intense. This is turning out to be one of my favorite YA series, and I'm glad that Kensington gave me the opportunity to try...more

*** Review may contain spoilers if you have not read book one, Touched, and some for Pushed as well.

Pushed pretty much picks up right where book one left off with Remy wanting to find a way to contact her grandfather for more answers about being a healer. Asher doesn't think this is a good idea, but Remy is determined to get answers. Remy gets word from her grandfather and goes to visit him in San Francisco and of course Asher follows he...more

This second book started a little slowly for me, but really picked up and ended with a big bang. I love this series!

The villain in this book is fantastic and though I started suspecting him earlier in the book, it was more like I was going through Remy's own doubts and fears with jumping back and forth between trusting and suspecting him. Remy's emotional battle is gripping and I just absolutely felt for her as she struggled with her feelings of abandonment.

Fair warning--there is a love triangle...more

The 2nd book in the Sense Thieves series was just as good as the first book!!!! What keeps my attention with this book is their powers and how they use them..The storyline is very good and very interesting!!! This book made my emotions go berserk.. Sometimes i was angry, sad, and so gleeful i can pick this book up and spin circles!!!
I loved how the story went but i do feel bad for a certain character-no names mentioned-and i hope it will turn out ok in the next book...I dont think this book had...more

Pushed is the second book in the the sense thieves Trilogy.I have loved this series since I ran across Touched last year.Pushed follows right where Touched left off so these are NOT stand alone books. Pushed follows Remy and Asher through more struggles and more romance.I absolutely loved this continuation of the story. I am on pins and needles waiting on Book three in the series. This is a MUST read series.I'm not even joking. It has always surprised me that I never hear anyone talk...more

Pushed was an emotional roller coaster keeping me on the seat of my chair. Remy takes a leap of faith to follow her mother's instructions and find her grandfather only to discover more truth than she can possibly stomach. Remy learns first hand what happens when you trust the wrong people and what happens when the person you least expected help from becomes your biggest supporter. Book two is packed full of loss and turmoil with an ending that left me counting down the days until book three. Sen...more

OMG is in order this book was great. Remy really got on my nerves this time around. Her wanting to find out more about her Grandfather put her family in danger; and Asher's family as well. What knocked the wind out of me is when I thought Asher had been killed. What really had me blown away is when in Asher absence Remy and Gabe developed some strong emotional feelings for each other; he even gave her a nickname (Remington) how cute is that. When Asher steps back on the scene and he finds out th...more

Book was pretty decent.

WARNING: SPOILER

I just feel bad for Remy. Everyone seems to betray her in the end. You can't trust anyone. Remy thought it would be a good idea to meet her grandfather and maybe discover more of her healer roots. Starting with her grandfather, Francois Marche. Apparently, he is in it with the Protectors. He so call claimed that "he is doing everything for the greater good" via giving up one of the healers to keep the other healers safe. Her grandfather also used her - or...more

I know you guys are aware of my impatience with second books in a series, and I think some of you feel the same way. You see, they sometimes just seem to be a slow bridge to the last book of the series. But a second book in Cory's hands is never, ever going to be slow. In fact, the pacing in Pushed's plot is faster than that of its predecessor, Touched. Yes, it's that fast-paced. Cory does not let Remy rest for long. Having said that, if you've re...more

**WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR FIRST BOOK IN THE SERIES**

So you might remember how I wasn't a really big fan of the first book in the series, Touched. I was however interested in the whole Protector-Healer thing enough to pick up the second book in the series. And it worked a little better for me than the first one, which might have something to do with the fact that Asher was mostly absent. Cause I'm still not digging him.

Remy doesn't really seem to get a break, aside from a mom who didn't ta...more

Amazing sequel! Full review to come...

Update 12/2/13:

This is an absolutely fantastic sequel to Touched! This novel picks up right where the previous book left off, but if you have any worries about not remembering how the story ended, don't. There's enough of a summary to help you recall everything that happened, and you quickly get sucked back into the action packed thrill ride that is Asher, Remy, and Gabe's life. There are some major changes in store for all of the characters, and each of the...more

I'm honestly at a loss where to begin with this review. The entire book is one giant spoiler in my opinion from the point where she travels to the Healer community on. I mean just the fact that Asher followed her there, should be warning enough, but let me just say it, this book is utterly heart breaking. And while I saw one of the twists coming, there were so many more that completely derailed me. These types of books are so incredibly hard...more

Pushed by Corrine Jackson is the second book in the Sense Thieves series. Remy and Asher are trying to enjoy life following the aftermath of the previous book. Even with life starting to make sense for Remy and her powers of a healer and her love for her enemy, Asher, Remy is missing a maternal connection. When a letter from her grandfather arrives, Remy feels like she can finally understand more about her mother and the Healer community. Blinded by this, Remy decides to spend a month with her g...more

I have put off writing a review for this book for months now 'cause I can't seem to keep my thoughts organized and I just end up deleting everything. So I'm gonna start with the first thing that came to mind.
Pushed is book two in the Sense Thieves series I'd like to call "Getting to know Gabe better". I didn't like Gabe from Touched. At all. He seemed like a jerk and I jus...more

*Meinung:*
