this book was actually really clear and detailed. it timelines cuban women's oppression from batista, revolution of 1959, and through the majority of the 1970's. it's really great too because it doesn't try and make cuba sound completely utopic like "oh everything is perfect in cuba, everyone abides to the rules and cuban men treat women perfectly". this book keeps it real. i would like it to be revised to add more modern things to it.
