Roxy Burke has messed up bad. With almost no goodbyes, she leaves her whole life in Boise for a new life in Nashville hoping to become the next big country star. Now, seven years later, she's squandered everything, especially her inheritance, and she's no country music star. She's had no contact with her family in Boise, but returning there is really the only choice that she has. Because of the lack of contact, Roxy is completely surprised when she finds that her older sister, Elena, is now enga...more

This is a retelling of the prodigal son, only it is about daughters. When you know the story, you follow along, knowing what is next; and in this case, it is still a great story. As far as Christian fiction goes, this one is more into the scriptures than some because it is a Biblical story, retold. In the Bible, you get the basic story. In this, you get people's thoughts and feelings from their different perspectives. If you've never really thought about the different people in this story, it's...more

I love when authors take a familiar Bible story and make me look at it in a totally different way... I searched high and low to get my hands on another copy of this book, read it when I borrowed from our local library. Ended up googling "Christian book with leaves on front cover" I think! Be prepared to want to read in one setting! If you live close to me, I will be happy to share, but I want it back!

This was a much better prodigal story (daughter not son) than "A Son Comes Home" was. I think it was pretty honest about how difficult it is when someone has done so much damage and then comes home broken and ready to take responsibility for it. The emotions run high in this book, and the characters have to bend almost to breaking to find their way...

Return to Me is an easy read that follows a "prodigal son" theme. I felt empathy for Roxy Burke, who returns home after following a hedonistic lifestyle for seven years in Nashville while trying to make it big as a country musician. Her sister's reaction to Roxy's return was food for thought in regard to how we treat those who are attempting to turn their lives around. Thought-provoking!

Robin Lee Hatcher does a double interpretation of 'Return to Me'. As two sisters learn about God's grace in dramatically different ways, the reader will identify with either one or both of these women!

This is a typical prodigal child story. It is a good book but very predictable and really not one of her best. Robin Lee Hatcher has some really great stories that I would recommend before this one.

Robin Lee Hatcher is one of my fav authors! This book is no exception. It is a perfect example of the prodigal daughter story told in modern times. Enjoyed it very much!

Another story about the country music industry - which I LOVE. This one explores the dark side of the biz - what happens when you don't make it.

The message in this story really hit home with me. No, I've never tried to be a country music singer! I'm talking about the concept of grace - a concept that I struggle with. I could identify with Roxy's struggle to accept grace and Elena's struggle to give it. I also enjoyed Roxy's journey to Christ, as I've found myself asking a lot of the same questi...more

A modern version of the parable of the prodigal son. Not very original.

This book was okay. It was a good story of the Prodigal Son (or in this case, daughter.) But it was awfully hokey and it was hard to sympathize with the characters too much. Not because they weren't easy to identify with maybe, but... Something was ... I guess just not to my taste. I just had a hard time getting through it. Not a bad book, but not one I'll ever look for again.

The Prodigal Son story told in a slightly different way. Predictable, yes. But can't we read the story of forgiveness over and over again? I enjoyed this book.

This modern day "prodigal son" story (with the exception that the protagonist is a woman) is a heartwarming read.

With a gentle touch, Robin sprinkles truths and wisdom throughout her pages, pulling me along in the lives of her characters as they struggle with living their faith.

What a great book. A quick read with an awesome message. Grace....what about grace? So warm, so thought provoking, so sweet.

Excellent story about a prodigal from the viewpoint of the "other brother(sister in this case)"
