Life Without Oil is a great choice for those new to the concept of peak oil. Hallett explores resource depletion (peaking) in past civilizations and infers a future for a society utterly dependent on cheap oil. Practical and informative guidebook about future energy sources. It's not the end of the world yet, and there is still much to be done.
