Jaren's birthday weekend isn't going as planned. Instead of being in the arms of the man he fell hard for, he's alone at his lake cabin. With a bottle of wine. When Cooper shows up on his doorstep, all appears right with the world. Until Jaren realizes the real reason Cooper is there.

Cooper didn't mean to fall for someone he was working a case with. And certainly not a man...more

Okay, it seemed wrong to give this book a ONE star rating. But also TWO stars is really pushing it. I wish I could give it a 1.5 star rating because the plot has a lot of potential - however, reviews are based on actuality and not coulda-woulda-shouldas. So to be clear I rate this book as 1.5 but since there are no half-stars I'm rounding up in the author's (ill deserved) benefit.

The Good: There were a bit of decently witty lines that will give a laugh or at least a smile.

The Bad: The book suffe...more

I didn't know if I should love Cooper or urge Jaren to boot Cooper out the door. Not that Cooper is a bad guy. He's just indecisive, coming to terms with what he wants and needs. His lack of action is what hurt Jaren. On the flip side, Jaren was just as aggravating as Cooper. Jaren keeps throwing himself out there...d.r.a.m.a. I scowled at these two the first half of the book. The second half went better for me because things were coming together. The plus side for me was the action. This was a...more

This is an excellently crafted novella with a catchy plot and hot interpersonal interaction (sex).Ms. Devlin instilled a nice amount of suspense into the plot to keep us hanging. I love the love interest in it. One hunky man and one sensuous, sultry man. Yum.

I don't usually read M/M, but I really enjoyed this book.

I really enjoyed this book and the couple. The ending kind of sucked but some of the other bits made up for it. My personal opinion is the novella should have been longer. It would have made a brilliant full length book. But it had a couple of sweet guys. I enjoyed it enough to give it 4/5 for the characters and idea and writing alone :)

A really great read. The characters very real their hopes and fears come to life. The angst in this is priceless. Cooper is so torn and by the time he makes his decision to be with Jaren he just doesn't believe it's real. Really well done.

Really loved this. I highly recommend this book.

Good m/m romantic suspense about a straight cop who's been struggling with his feelings for the guy he went undercover with to break up some sort of porn film ring. I kept thinking there had to be a previous book about their undercover stint, but this is the author's first book.

I didn't find this story bad, but it just felt like this was a second book in a series and I missed the first book which would have established these characters. There was potential, it just didn't reach it fully.

This book wasnt my cup of tea. Firstly I thought there was a prequel that I was missing. Then the sex was kind of meh - I kept going - just tell him your feelings dammit!!! Ending was okay but I am pretty disappointed :(

Enjoyed this overall...kinda reminded me of The Assignment by Evangeline Anderson. Like someone else said, I thought at first there was another book that came before this one, but this is the first book.

The scenarios...

1) She decided to write this book and didn't give it her all.
2) She just is a totally sucky writer.

Either way: bad, Bad, BAD!

This is a story about two men working a police case together, trying to find and trap a criminal running a pornography ring. It is a curious mixture between a mystery (but there wasn't enough of that in the story to be convincing for me) and a romance (which wasn't convincing for me either). If you're looking for a light read, you might like this more than I did.

I don't care for protags who draa-ag the angst out and even more so when I, as a reader, can't figure out the reason. Or, when I do, don't think it was reason enough to make me go on for pages before the two guys get their shit sorted out.

But I did like the final scene in the hospital room. That was romantic.

Sasha Devlin is way more interesting than this bio can make her sound! She also is uncomfortable talking about herself in the third person so…

I’m a Midwestern gal born and raised, and I currently live in Chicago. I’ve not yet found the villain who is using his time machine against me, but when I do, the battle will be epic.

I’ve been writing stories in my head for as long as I can remember, but onl...more
