This book has been on my bookshelves for a long time, but for some reason I would always skip it and pick something else to read. That being said finally I read it and discovered I really liked it.

Basically, the heroine Brooke was raped by her stepfather years ago and testified against him and he was sent to prison. Her stepfather has just been paroled and is killing anyone who testified against him in court. The police want to put her in protective custody, but her best friend Willow has anoth
A very touching and romantic story of two people who have had to deal with tragic pasts. A good balance in the romance and suspense areas. Set mostly in the Bering Sea on a fishing boat.

Holy hot mess the narrator is making it really freaking hard to listen to and enjoy the story. She's awful!!

story is done. I didn't love it nor did I like it, but it was just....ok. the story tried to be all angsty but in my mind (as mean as it sounds) I kept thinking I feel bad for their past drama but it's been over 10yrs (in both cases) remember what happened and move on already. This book is a therapists advertisement fo'real!! The suspense part of the story wasn't very suspenseful it was ju

2.5 to 3 stars....the setting sure was interesting and different so I had pretty high hopes, but the characters never evolved past the cookie cutter stage, so it was really hard to get engaged by the story. Also the H is a widower, which is a personal pet peeve of mine, reading about how absolutely in love he was with his first wife, made it hard for me to see how he and the h would get their HEA....and maybe it was just me, but it didn't really feel like I was reading a romance novel....I never ...more
I really enjoyed this because I've watched enough Deadliest Catch with my husband that it gave me a great understanding of the book and it helped add a romance to the show I watch so often!
Amazon kindle freebie: very sappy. Tired of "strong" male characters with such tender feminine emotions...
3.5 to 4 stars. A good quick romance that has a little suspense regarding Brooke's stalker
An interesting setting for this book. Very nicely done!
Cheesy and predictable, but not a bad read.

Born in ‘small town’ Illinois, I grew up in the average middle class family. Surrounded by good friends, rode bikes with my friends, played with Barbie dolls and danced in my bedroom to the radio. While life wasn’t always peaches and cream, I don’t have any damaging childhood scars and consider myself lucky to have such a loving family. Once I turned 18, for reasons more complicated than I want to ...more
