Love this series, cant wait for this one to come out. Has anyone read the her other series of books? About werewolves?

Another funny book in this series, only that I'm sad it's the last one. But Molly Harper is one of my verra favorite authors now so I will read anything else she writes in the future. One thing that made me LOL in the book that I could identify with was the part where Jane and Gabriel find Ray's hideout and she describes that despite Kentucky having many nice looking normal residents, it never fails for a news channel to find the most undesirable to interview about the tornado that passed throug...more

Molly Harper never fails to bring the snark and a pinch of sexy to her loveable characters. So I was excited to jump into another light and fun read with Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors.

Jane and the group are back for another fun filled mystery. This time around Jane is dealing with her own wedding planning issues, more dead relatives, and being a new mother so to speak.

Seems that someone always wants to kill or at least maim Jane. And she usually makes things worse by running off by herse...more

Review by Cassandra from Book Talk

In the (so far) last installment of this series, Jane is finally putting her wedding plans into action. While things have been quite for the fanged couple fate decides to put a new twist on their lives in the form of a mean spirited spirit, a baby vamp, and a person bent on vengeance. Despite all this, plans for their future are going along. Will Jane and Gabriel have their happily ever after? Will their wedding go along as planned? Will their baby vamp wreak ha...more

4.5 FANGS sipping from a blood filled champagne flute

Well, Gabe and Jane finally get engaged in the beginning of this book and must start to plan their wedding. But then two things occur that sidetrack that upcoming crazy train; Jane's Black Widow Grandma dies and begins a nasty haunting of Jane (they never got along) and Jane turns her book store's milk delivery guy after he is a victim of a hit and run (who may actually have been aiming for Jane). Did I mention that he is a very hot high schoo...more

I enjoyed this book a lot. Though I haven't read the previous book I still keep it up with the , no problem whatsoever. But would I read the previous book? Humm,,,if I got free gift I would love to read the rest of the books, but if none - well just suck it up. Not really curious though, I've got their HEA

It's about Jane and Gabriel, who finally getting married (yay, after he propose all over again Jane say YES). The big problem were
1. Jane accidentally have a childe, she became a sire... to go...more

Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors – Book 4

Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors begins with Jane finally saying yes to her boyfriend and Sire, Gabriel, who was forced to turn her when she had been mortally injured. She finally feels that she is in a good place (after being turned into a vampire) and ready to get married. Before the celebrations can start though, Jane’s grandmother, Ruthie, dies. Along with that, while Jane is outside of her bookstore in town, a car comes...more

All of Harper's Nice Girls books have been incredibly quick reads for me, and this book was no exception. It's ultimately lighter fare than the previous three books in the series but it's still a pretty fun ride.

As others have mentioned, this book is pretty much the end of the Jane series and as such, we get a lot of relatively tidy endings to everything. In one aspect this is rather nice and makes it easier to say goodbye to Jane as a main character, but it also just seems a little too light a...more

Sitting down to write this review, I worried that I didn’t have much more to say about Jane Jameson. By book four, I’m normally worn out of a series, especially the ones that focus on mostly the same thing with no obvious goal in mind. Molly Harper’s Jane series, isn’t that way. As I finished Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors, I found myself incredibly bummed that (for now, at least) it is the final Jane book.

I’ve learned that there is two things I can always expect from Molly Harper, her wr...more

This is the 4th (and I think final) in the series, so it’ll have spoilers for previous books. Also, I’m not sure I can really review this one in a comprehensive way. Let’s just say it is endlessly funny and a page turner that builds on great characterization that combines with a page turning plot.

Jane is just as funny as ever and has grown so much as a character over the four books that she is almost unrecognizable in the end in so many awesome ways. She is getting completely settled, getting ma...more

Quick & Dirty: Here comes the bride, or something like that.

Opening Sentence: Three months after he moved into my ancestral home, Gabriel Nightengale’s last box was finally unpacked.

The Review:

For this fourth, and apparently final, installment of the Jane Jameson saga, there are some happy, some sad, and a whole lot of angry moments.

Gabriel has moved in to Jane’s family home, and it seems the two lovebirds might have a chance at eternal happiness, or at le...more

Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors Molly Harper

In this installment of the Nice Girls Don’t.. series Jane Jameson’s life just keeps getting more and more interesting. Gabriel has moved in with her and asks her to marry him. This time she says YES! It is not all fun and games though as her Grandmother Ruthie is determined to get her house back and begins haunting River Oaks. AND, Jane is forced into making one of the towns young men Jamie a vamp after he is hit by a car, so her becomes her chil...more

To say that Jane Jameson had a hard time adjusting to being a vampire is an understatement. Aunt Jettie haunts her home (used to be hers), her older sister hates her (always has), her best friend forever’s mom will NOT give up on Zeb and Jane marrying (he’s in love with a werewolf) and then there’s Gabriel…hunk, 150 yr-old vampire who turned Jane as she lay dying (and that’s a great tale in itself!). His frenemy Dick – they were childhood friends – puts anyone thief you can name to shame and her...more

When a new Molly Harper "Jane Jameson" book comes out I am always a happy camper and she doesn't disappoint with the newest installment. Filled with Molly's Jane's Molly's Molly's and Jane's snarky repartee, this is the first book in the series that brought tears to my eyes for laughter and poignancy. Yes, there is a slightly sad bit, but it's appropriate to the story line. Romantically sexy but not too steamy.

If you know Jane's mother (think overwhelming) you understand why Jane would be reluct...more

At some point, your childe may challenge you to a fight. Try not to beat the childe too badly. Imagine having your mother knock you into unconsciousness. It would be emotionally scarring on several levels.

Jane Jameson is back and busy as ever. She is starting to plan her wedding, if she can get her mother to stop “helping” that is, she and Gabriel has moved in together. She never expects to end up turning her cute teenage neighbor into a vampire to save his life. Now apparently her grandmother Ruthie has decided to do whatever she can to drive Jane out of her ancestral home. Even being able to be corporeal so that she can throw a...more

Jane Jameson has just accepted a marriage proposal from her vampire sire/boyfriend Gabriel Nightingale. While getting something from her car a mysterious dark car almost runs her over and in the process hits handsome, hunky 17 year old athletic Jaimie Lanier whom Jane used to babysit. Rather than see such a young promising life cease to exist, Jane turns Jaimie into a vampire. The council of vampire laws visits Jane and lets her know she is now responsible for Jamie becoming the best vampire he...more

Jane is finally settled into cohabital bliss with her vampire sire Gabriel, her bookstore business is in the black and she's actually getting along with her sister, but through no fault or her own Jane continues to be a magnet for trouble. So, add a new hormonal vampire childe, wedding planning, and a ghost in seriously need of exorcising into the mix and chuckle-worthy chaos ensues.

The 4th installment of the Jane Jameson series was great. Centering around Jane's wedding, everything becomes chaos. Grandma Ruthie is dead and now hanging out at River Oaks. Grandma Rutie is a conveying, jealous, bitter old hag. Grandma Ruthie will not leave she declares River Oaks her home and hopes to drive Jane out of the house. Grandma Rutihie threatens with all kinds of bad death treatments, such as opening the shades in the daytime while they are sleeping.

The wedding planning is to much f...more

Final book of a series, with promises of more from related characters.

Satisfied all my current addictions - romance, vampires, and Austen. How did Austen get tied into a vampire series? Well, you will just have to read it to find out. The ending left you with warm fuzzies, after more twists than one would think possible to throw in to an event and still make sense. Not a high level of angst, however, for those who fear such a thing. This is one of those series where you know all will be well in...more

AWWWW... 4.5 Stars....

I love this series. never fail to make me laugh incontrolably even in public... Shame on you miss sassy mouth jane.

but now i m sad since somehow I feel like this book is the last book in the series.

The book was same as the previous one simple, homey, southern feel but edgy, crazy, and wickedly entertaining. Just loved this kinds of book that didn't force their readers to squeeze their brains out just to understand a chapter.

The book starts with the same Jane antics... sass...more

It's over? It's really over?? I think I'm in serious denial right now because I don't want Jane Jameson to ever leave! In the (I'm pretty sure) final Nice Girls book, Jane is even more snarky, sarcastic, and just plain old entertaining. Yet again, someone is out to kill her, so Jane must deal with death threats, the new vampire childe she had to turn, and the upcoming wedding between her and Gabriel. Talk about a busy life.

Gabriel is honestly one of the most perfect boyfriends. He's always ther...more

Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbours is the funniest novel in the Jane Jameson series. There are a couple of very sad moments, but it is mostly very funny. This time Jane is the one walking down the aisle, and she’s having mixed feelings about the whole deal.

Jane finally accepts Gabriel’s proposal. She’s denied him about five or six times previously, so he is quite glad to have her accept finally. However, things really take an interesting turn when Jamie Lanier, a teenager she used to babysit...more

I read this entire series back to back, and one good thing I can say about it is that I didn't get tired of it. A lot of times when I read a series (or even a couple books in a series) all at once, I get sick of the story, the characters, and the whole thing. This just felt fun.

I can't say I loved everything about the story, though. I just didn't find it believable. Not because of the vampires, werewolves, ghosts, etc. But because the main character, who is a book lover and former librarian, thr...more

Jane is back in Molly Harper’s fourth installment in her Jane Jameson series, Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors. It’s been a while. In fact, we thought that the third book published back in 2009 would be the last time we saw Jane in a new adventure. But then Molly happy-surprised us and wrote a fourth book – and it has all the endearing qualities that turned us into Jane enthusiasts in the first place.

First I’m going to chat a bit about the story. Ja...more

"Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors" is another good episode in the life of Jane Jameson. All of the issues I had with book 3 (whining, constant family drama and always being a victim) were basically moot in this edition.

Since the Vampire Marriage Act has been passed by Congress, Jane and Gabriel have finally decided to get married. One day while working at her bookstore, Jamie ,a High School Senior, Jane babysat when he was a kid is mowed down by a car and is left dying. In order to save him...more

This was a great addition to the Jane Jameson universe, and it came along at just the right moment for me. Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors was a lighthearted book that dealt with some hilarious topics: weddings and hideous bridesmaid dresses, a mother of the bride who's a bridezilla, strange relationships between vampire childes, and reasons not to drink and talk to strangers (you'll have to read all the way to the end for that one).

Lots of laughs in this one, and I loved revisiting some...more

This was a nice ending to the NICE GIRL series. Jane's undead life is starting to become common place (you know, things like work, friends and family). That's when everything falls apart. A teenage acquaintance that she had babysat for is mortally wounded in front of her book store. Her quick decision to turn him, causes long felt repercussions for her and Gabriel.

At the same time Jane is trying to figure out how to be a responsible sire, Gabriel is struck with a poisoned arrow and forces her t...more

Yep, look at me! I read all 4 of these... in order! I'm so proud of myself! *puffs out chest* Guess I should be careful about doing that... I could poke out an eye. ;) I will say this to those that might find themselves with a book or two out of order... it is more fun to read these as I did, but you don't have to do so. You can go ahead and pick up any of these books and have fun reading it.

My mother remembers an 8-year-old me setting up my “writing office” in our living room by putting her old manual typewriter on the couch next to a toy phone. And I (very slowly) pecked out the story of my third-grade class taking a trip around the world and losing a kid in each city.

I had a dark sense of humor, even then.

"Fine. He seems to be spending a lot of time in the shower," I noted quietly, my voice so low that even Jamie's super hearing couldn't pick it up.

"What?"

"Remember that summer I turned thirteen and my mom complained that she couldn't ever get me out of the bathroom?" Zeb asked.

"Yeah, but that's because you were-" I slapped my hand over my mouth. "Oh!"
