this guy got paid by the zinger. some time he forces two or three into a sentence. i could recognize them only by their classic forms. his strategy of presenting the reader with so many missed oportunities to laugh eventually worked on me and like a pressure that keeps 'abildin, until you throw up laughing. and im the sort of manic giggler who actually enjoys doing it.

One of my high school teachers was Mr. Dwayne Manson. In addition to more academic perusals, Mr. Manson also displayed an outrageous sense of humor, for example loudly stating on a Friday afternoon, “I just can’t wait to go home and have myself a nice, cold, frosty glass of – gravy.” In that spirit, he also read from Jack Douglas’s book, “My Brother was an Only Child.” This book consisted of short sideways-humor pieces, such as, for example, “Chapter 19. In this hilarious sequel to "My Brother Was an Only Child" Jack Douglas continues the near-manic ravings and off kilter stream of conciousness. All the chapters are short, but the humor never stops. There are some references that a 21st Century reader might not get, but the meaning is usually clear from the context. Read this book!
