am i really the first person on good reads to want to read "The Aston corpus of Soviet Yiddish lexicon" and "Mr Khauruchenka, Miss Shaihets', Mrs Hoika and others: the origins of some unusual family names"?!

Boris Karloff is the pen name of Dov-Ber Kerler. Born in Moscow in 1958, he lived, studied, and taught in Jerusalem until 1984, in Oxford until 2000, and since 2001 in Bloomington, Indiana, where he holds the Dr. Alice Field Cohn Chair in Yiddish Studies.
