This was my first read by this author and I really thought it was good. The story started off well giving us background about Phoebe's life, and heated up quickly with Jacoby and Phoebe's first encounter. I have to say the love scenes were really on fire in this book. Jacoby and Phoebe's chemistry was really off the charts. There was a lot going on in this book with the office politics, but it in no way took from the love story of Jacoby and Phoebe. All the drama really added to the story and ma...more
Sylvia Hubbard did a number with this story, I was taken away with all the action and how the characters were set up and described to not cause a confussion as to who was who and as for the hot sex that Phoebe and Jacoby share had me wanting to slap her anytime she tought about messing with another guy....lol This kept me motivated to read to the end I actually read it in a day!!! 525 pages short...dwl!! And I was still wanting to read more. The grammer errors were nothing compared to the story...more
"Excuse Miss but can I give you a ride?" This was a great book and I really enjoyed it. Phoebe had to learn how to trust again after her ex-husband used her for her money and left her and the children broke. Jacoby has to learn that there is a woman out there for him, that wants him for him and not his body or his money. The schemes and the scandals that these two have to go through to be together is heartbreaking, but what do you do when your heart belongs to someone else?
Another page turner by Sylvia Hubbard! I love her work. I was a little perturbed by Jacoby & Phoebe's stubbornness but the story was well laid out as to why each was they way they were. It was nice to see a strong family support system in place with Phoebe and her mom as well as a story of forgiveness with Jacoby and his. I enjoyed it from start to finish as I tend to do with all of Sylvia Hubbard's work.
